It wouldn't reset.Re: Norcold refrigeratorThis recall box has never "tripped" as far as we can tell. The red light has never actually come on. The refer was working great when we turned it off last October, but would not come on this Spring. No light in the refer, nothing. No red light. Drove it to town and the refer came on. Came home and plugged in the coach and refer went off! No red light. Technician checked and said there was 12 volt to the recall box, but nothing coming out........no red light. This recall box has never been reset.....Re: Norcold refrigeratorThis Norcold fridge is becoming a nightmare! One month today from the first time a service tech looked at it! After being in storage for 6 months, it wouldn't turn on. Made an appt to have it checked out. Drove it 5 miles, tech looked at it and it was on! He wanted $20 for his time! Got home, turned it off. Two days later tried turning it on again and nothing! Technician came by the house....same guy....checked it out and said the recall part was bad. Norcold won't send the new one because "your rv has already had the recall done"!!! Now they wanted us to have a technician check it again with Norcold on the phone so they can tell him how to reset it! Three weeks later and no one wants to work on it because they say Norcold won't pay them anything for fixing or replacing this recall part! We are trying to sell this Motorhome with potential buyers coming Sunday and no working fridge! I finally found a service technician that said he would stop by this evening. Hopefully, we'll get some help!Re: Norcold refrigeratorAfter a couple weeks, a service tech has said it's definitely the thing they put on the Norcold refrigerator a couple years ago when they had that recall. He said all he gets done is replacing these and that Norcold gives them such a hard time about replacing them. On top of that, he said Norcold doesn't want to pay hardly anything when they are replaced! If there is such a problem with these things, why can't something be done to Norcold? The service tech said Dometic uses a much simpler deal to prevent overheating.Re: Which older model gas rig would you consider?Sounds wonderful bsinmich! My husband has COPD, and it's getting harder and harder to travel with his oxygen equipment :-(. We spent 19 yrs traveling so we're ready for spending time with the grandkids.Re: Which older model gas rig would you consider?bsinmich, ours is also the 3778, but 2004! We've had 5 rv's in the last 19 yrs. Three Fleetwoods, one horrible Coachman, and we finally stepped up and bought the MountainAire! Best Motorhome we've ever had!!! So quiet on the road and parked. We're only selling it due to my husband's health :-(. You only get what you pay for! It took us four to realize that!Re: Which older model gas rig would you consider? We had a 2000 Southwind and lots of problems with the windshield popping out! Bought a 2003 Pace Arrow off the showroom floor in Columbus Ohio and first rain storm water ran in through every light fixture and opening in the ceiling, front to back of the RV! Ruined the drapes on the windshield too. This was just two weeks after we bought it! Three trips to the dealer and factory and it still dripped water from the ceiling! This is why we took a loss and traded up one year for our MountainAire!Re: Which older model gas rig would you consider?Hmmm, then I really don't think I'm too high on our 2004 MountainAire! We're asking $68,000 and it sold for $165,000! MountainAire is top of the line as far as gas coaches go. 25,000 miles, all new batteries, brand new Michelin XRV tires! It's in excellent condition inside and out. We have three interested parties, and one that will definitely buy June 1st if it's still available. Lots of pics if anyone is interested :-). jennybruce47@yahoo.comRe: Which older model gas rig would you consider?Just make sure the roof is sealed good, and it has new tires ??. Tires will cost you $3000! Our michelins only have 25,500 miles on them, but they are 10 yrs old. They had plenty of tread but little cracks. We put new tires and battery's on ours, hoping it will help sell. My husband is having a lot of health issues, so we regretfully, have to sell.Re: Which older model gas rig would you consider? So true Deano! We always knew it wasn't an investment for sure, but I sure wished we could have found something this nice used when we were looking. Buying new never insures you're are getting a great Motorhome unfortunately. We bought a 2003 PaceArrow off the showroom floor, and two weeks later we were in Myrtle Beach and the first time it rained, water poured in through every light fixture in the thing, front to back! Ruined the drapes, etc. Three trips to the factory and it still leaked! You just never know what you're getting.
