We are going to meet with the owner next weekend to check it out. Does anyone own or have any experience with this model? Or anything similar? Thanks in advance. This is the rv. http://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2004-Jayco-Greyhawk-31ss-110752642Re: Advice on the Class C I'm looking at.Thanks everyone for the help! According to the website, they check out pretty much everything from the interior, to the function of the interior components, to the reliability and condition of the drive unit. Those of you who have worked with El Monte RV before, how are they at negotiating price? Also, what can we expect in taxes, fees, registration, etc? The list price on this unit is $31,989. It may be unrealistic, but we are looking to spend $30k OUT THE DOOR. Thanks again for all the help! Also, with all the inspections and repairs they (claim to) do, would it be necessary to take it to a mechanic before purchase?Re: Advice on the Class C I'm looking at. Tires are due for replacement if not recently replaced. Looks good. We are happy with our 2004 Tioga 26Q bought new in 2004. Make sure that everything works and get all promises in writing on the purchase order/contract before signing. Don't buy extended warranty policy, save money for repairs/upgrades/replacements in a bank account. They include a limited warranty with every purchase, and have an extended warranty available. I haven't spoke to them yet on all that entails, but why do you say stay away from the extended warranty?Advice on the Class C I'm looking at.Hello all. Me and my new wife are looking at a Class C RV. We've been looking online for weeks and weeks, and I've been doing some research and reading a lot on these forums. The RV we are currently stalking is an '07 Fleetwood Tioga w/ 2 slideouts. The price seems a bit too good to be true, however it was a rental. Which I've read mixed reviews about getting a rental. One question I had was about the Chevy engine. The 6.0 Vortec. I am more familiar with the Ford engines but would imagines the Chevy's are good too. Here is the link to the RV: http://www.elmontervsales.com/vehicle-details/bda4eef34a4d984e95fffeaf04e9f543/2007+fleetwood+tioga.html What do you experienced pros think?Tire ReplacementsMe and my wife have never owned an RV, but we are seriously looking at a Class C. I heard that no matter what you will need to replace your tires every couple years. Is this true? I would intend to cover them when we are not using it, but I am told that won't save them. I also understand they are EXPENSIVE. Thanks a bunch!!
