Fleetwood Excursion 2008 40X adding Weight to Front Axle
I just added an Cruzierlift motorcycle lift on my coach.The Rear axle is rated for 19000lbs and now weighs 19,200. With the bike loaded on the coach the Steer axle now only weighs 9000lbs. Before it weight aprox 9500lbs. It drives fine and steers the same. The Front axle is rated at 12,000lbs. I talked to freightliner and they said they would like to see about 10,500 on the front axle. The Front axle has never weighed more than 9800lbs since I have owned the coach. I talked the Cruzierlift and they said they have never had anybody add any weight on a coach my size to the front axle. i am skeptical of adding more weight to the front axle. Has any one ever done this before? Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks989Views0likes4Comments
