I used soap and water in a spray bottle to verify the leak location.Re: Uncle Frank gave me a 2006 32 ft Thor Wanderer falconbrother wrote: Don't worry about books. Repack those wheel bearings, adjust those brakes and go camping. Agree. Economy was not as good back then. I'll bet it's built better than my 2016.Re: How are Power King tires?I've acutally had good service with them on smaller trailers. (13-14 inch) They do not seem to do well on campers.Re: Slide leakingGet it fixed as soon as possible. Leaks are the death of campers. It will rot out the floor near the slide in no time.Re: What brands of Travel Trailers are NEW & QualityLike others I have been around campers most of my life. They are the worst when the economy is the good. Everyone is racing to produce as fast as possible. When the economy tanks, I'm pretty sure they hold onto the better workers and slow down.Re: New guy questions ( sorry )The search box is your friend lots of info on here. To get the best feedback people need to know what you have? Water heater make, camper make/model/year. Assuming you have the most common stuff: Jack are 3/4, you may have a crank handle for it on board somewhere. Anode rods last 6 months to two years. Lots of variables. Change it when it's almost down to the steel rod. Yes, clean up the threads to keep it from seizing up in there. Use Teflon tape on the new one. Caps and gaskets can be had at any major hardware store. Many drain lines have shut off, caps are just to keep bugs/debris out. Some will need caps to seal the system. Don't crank them down, just a little more than hand tight should do it.Re: drain pipe to protect awningNot my camper, but similar photos found online. Re: drain pipe to protect awningI use two pices of plasic gutter from HDRe: 2015 Forest River Wildwood 32BHDSLots to look at on any used unit: Pull up dinette cushions and check for water damage at outer corners. Same under bunk house sofa. Check outer slide seals/wipes, very poor quality rubber. Pull inspection cover under shower/tube and check for missing tub support which causes drain pipe to break and rot floor under tub. Asssume both door windows leak unless resealed by current owner. If original tires, replace all 5 asap. Assume you will need to re-caulk everything bolted to the exterior, they seem to ration it at the factory.Re: Gastek for slide outThere may be limited choices due to design/size but you don't have to pay dealer prices. I found the one our camper uses on amazon. Search slide seals.
