MCK 722G TRP MCK 7226 TRP MCK Z226 TRP bleh I dont know. I am hoping to find specs online so I can be sure what weight rating they are .Re: Flat Leaf Springs- Replacement Required?Okay I got the wheels off and dropped the axle. the springs have the following stamp. I had to run it through some filters to try and read the label better. Now i'm off to tryout my google-fooRe: Flat Leaf Springs- Replacement Required? Dusty R wrote: But what are the axels themselves rated at? They maybe the same as the springs. Oh yea- I have the axle info - that was easy to find. As stated in the orginal post they are 6k Its the leaf springs that I cannot find any specs on ... I am in the middle of getting the trailer on jack-stands now so I can get the wheels off for a better look. If there are no cracks in the any old the leaves, I would not condemn the hole pack. Take it to a pro, they can re-curve them and add a leaf. MUCH CHEAPER ! If you have flattened out those leaves, you might be overloading the tires ! Yes I will look into adding a leaf. For the tires I am running XPS ribs - they are rock solid tires in my opinion and work great! Had three of the four original factory tires blow in the first 400 miles of owning the trailer.Re: Flat Leaf Springs- Replacement Required? I would be looking at complete spring, shackles and link replacement Look on etrailer.com for what packages are available. Yes they all look exactly the same > Flat .. maybe even slighty bending the wrong way in the middle. I did weigh it "trip ready" (aka loaded to the gills, full water etc) and it was 13,800lbs total give or take (pending my math on how much is sitting on the truck) 11,400 would be on the trailer axles. 6K axles with 13,800 loaded, see anything wrong?? Two 7K's get you just barely, get a pair of 8K axles to carry the weight and have a bit of wiggle room. Yea I agree there is plenty wrong with that. They literally rely on pin weight of the truck to take up the slack on the under sized axles. The trailers gvwr from the factory is 14000 and they have 12000lbs of axle. And they make thousands of these things.Re: Flat Leaf Springs- Replacement Required? pauldub wrote: If you're anywhere near Santa Ana, get in touch with Deaver Spring. Figure out what is the stock spring and then upgrade by 250-500 lbs on each spring. The key measurement is the eye to eye measurement when unloaded. Good luck. Well.. I am not sure my springs will return to normal enough to measure eye to eye . Should I just measure the hangers on the trailer frame instead?Re: Flat Leaf Springs- Replacement Required? fj12ryder wrote: Yeah, those really look to be ready for the scrap heap. Is that a triple axle toyhauler? Thats what I wanted to hear! haha - Maybe I will forge them into swords for my kids! haha. This is dual axle trailer. California toy hauler builders are king of leaving roughly 1lb of excess load capacity with builds. Its horrible. I will look for 4500lb springs. I will look for part numbers stamped on this when I star to tear it apart. Springs, Brakes, bearings, and tires. Yay!Re: Flat Leaf Springs- Replacement Required? enblethen wrote: Are all the springs showing the same? I would weigh the rig first. I have noticed this at the beginning of last camping season and I ran it like this for a little over 800 miles since I noticed it. I am due for other maintenance and would like your opinion on whether or not I should add new leaf spring packs to the to-do list. This is on a 2015 Eclipse Attitude 32SAG Toy Hauler w/ Lippert 6,000lb axles. I am not sure what springs to replace them with if I go that route.
