Estes Park area
Does anyone have an opinion regarding campgrounds in the Estes Park, CO area? We are planning to be there from 9-15-16 through 10-1-16 to see the Elk and other sights. We have probably waited too long to book a place in the National Park sites, but would interested in any comments on private campgrounds in the area.1.6KViews0likes9Commentsdry camping with no generator
We are considering dry camping in a 5th Wheel. We do not have a generator. I am wondering if anyone has experience with how long two 6 volt golf cart batteries will work. I'm concerned we won't be able to get our slides back in or be able to lift the camper to hook back up. Will the pickup be able to charge the batteries back up sufficiently to allow the slides and lift to work? I've read several people's comments on dry camping, but most of those individuals had solar or generator capability to get them back up running each day. We are planning a trip in the latter part of February to last through the middle of April to run through Big Bend Nat'l Park and then to the Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Monument. We were planning on using CA 299 to start back east to KS, but found out there were lengthy construction delays on 299. We thought using 101 to Route 20, thru Yuba City to I80 might be a viably alternative. Any input on that approach?688Views0likes4Comments
