Now, you'll be a bit crowded, but there are miles of beach to stroll down. More expensive than Topsail, but, man, we love it every year.Winterizing in Texas while still using RV regularilyWe use our Class C motorhome at least twice a month and store it on a piece of land an hour from our house, but wonder how best to approach winterizing it. This week we have some temps with lows in the upper twenties and highs in low forties. Wondering how best to protect the water lines. I do have electricity available so I could run a ceramic heater to keep temps above freezing, but I worry a tad about leaving a heater running. I could winterize the motorhome, but that seems like a real pain every time I leave the motorhome for a week or two. So, what do you guys do and/or recommend in this situation in the winter months?Re: Electrical Problem - Converter?AC works great on generator. Thank goodness since we are in Galvestonand it is very humid.Re: Electrical Problem - Converter?Ok... So most likely what will have I to repair to get back hooked on shore power?Re: Electrical Problem - Converter?West end - running a 50 amp service in the rig. Also tried the 30 amp plugin on the pedestal to see if that was the issue. Didn't help. Our neighbor tested the pedestal with a device that handles over voltage situations. Sorry I don't know more about it. He did mention that his device did register several over voltage occurrences in the past couple of days.Electrical Problem - Converter? We've been camping in our Class C Jayco Seneca for a few days now. Got here and stayed on shore power with no troubles for a day. Went to drive around town and came back to shore power. The Flat screen started smoking. Then, the ac units (we have 2) stopped working. No 110 power in outlets either. They would come on for a minute or two and then shut off. Once we ran the generator, 110 outlets started working again. Also, discovered that our microwave isn't working and appears to have no power at all. Fan, lights, and clock on it aren't working either. Couple of neighbors suggested it might be our converter. We tested the power at the pedestal and it looks good. The rv park had us leave due to the noise, which I understand. So now we are camping in a parking lot with the generator on. Any suggestions?Family Reunion - RV & Cabins - within 3 hours of Dallas, TXTrying to get the family together in June. Most of the family is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Some interest in the Kerrville area, but that is almost 6 hours away. Any suggestions that has RV sites and cabins with lots of activities for kids (ideally a pool on site)? I would love to find something within 2-3 hours from the DFW area.
