As soon as the steps are retracted I pull the disconnect and turn off the coach power switch. The steps will stay in then. The thing to remember is that when you turn the power on the step will extend so watch your shins! BobRe: Refrigerator light's not onOn mine the bulb had corroded from the moisture in the fridge. I removed bulb, sanded the contacts and reinstalled and it works fine now. BobRe: Boston to Philadelphia routeThanks guys. These look like what I had guessed would work best.Re: New England in July or August? We are planning this trip for our 50th anniversary so the timing is flexible and am planning 5 or 6 weeks to leave NW Arkansas to Niagra Falls to Boston to DC to Nashville and back home. Could take longer if we can work out Dr. appointments! You know how that goes at our age!New England in July or August? Is there any bad things about New England trip in July or August such as a lot of bugs or negatives that would make a different time better? Not hoping for the leaf looking season. ThanksBoston to Philadelphia routeMapping sites take you down I95 but I would like suggestions to avoid New York City area if possible. We are not in a big hurry but don't want to spend a fortune for fuel by going to far out of the way. ThanksRe: pikes Peak, campgroundsWe LOVED Pikes Peak RV Park in Manitou Springs. This is where you get on the cog railroad that goes up Pikes Peak if you don't want to drive. City park right next door. Check out the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center in Divide CO for a unique experience. Garden of the Gods park is very close also. Downtown Manitou Springs is kind of like a cleaner version of Estes Park CO.Re: Seriously... who calls it glamping? The first time I saw the term it was used by a Great Lakes area rv group. G reat L akes cAMPERS.Re: I dont even know how to plan a cross country trip LOLThis past September we planned a 4 week trip to the Colorado area. I spent countless hours planning. I had satellite views of every interchange, gas stop, rest area and campground for the entire trip. This was for backup as I had committed most of them to memory. First destination was Estes Park. Middle of the third day my wife sees a sign that says Pikes Peak area and says "My Mom went to Pikes Peak during the war and it sounded neat." (I had the greatest mother-in-law that ever lived.} At the next rest stop I looked and we were only 120 miles away and I thought about one of the best things about owning a mh is you have everything you need with you. So I hung a left and we went to Pikes Peak and it was the best part of the trip. I say all this to make the point not to over schedule and leave some time to do something that you didn't plan. If you haven't been there in this long it will still be there next year. Now if somebody wants a very detailed trip plan from Arkansas to Colorado I have an unused one available!Re: New owner with big problemIf you read the original post he states he gave them two opportunities to double check the price. I would think any time someone makes asks that question it would raise a red flag for the dealer. The dealer screwed up and they are the ones to make the deal right and own up to their own incompetence.
