Yes, the truck squats a bit and I'm looking to get some helper bags. It's noticeably heavier than the previous trailer. Are you sure you want bags? Doesn't look like it needs it. The truck is designed to squat a little when loaded, and the trailer looks nice and level. I would just run it. Should ride nice. If it squats and raises the front end much, the headlights on low beam will blind the oncoming drivers at night.Re: Your RigVery nice Pinnacle !!!Re: Ram 3500 4.10's expected MPGWe have a 2018 RAM 3500 DRW 2x4 with a 4:10 axle ratio, our unloaded mileage is 16 to 17 depending on how heavy my foot is. When towing our Redwood at a weight of 17K so our combined weight is right at 26k I get 9 to 10 mpg again depending on how heavy my foot is and the terrain. I usually tow at about 68 mph and get a fairly consistent 10 mpg on flat ground.Re: Your RigWe had a number of Pop Up Campers and Travel Trailers before we bought our first 5th Wheel. We had a Lark Pop Up, a Palomino Pop Up, a Sunline TT, a 1996 Sunnybrook TT, a 2005 Jayco 251RLS 5th Wheel, a 2011 Jayco 35LKTS 5th Wheel and now our current Redwood 38 FL 5th Wheel Moderator edit to re-size picture to forum recommended limit of 640px maximum width. It was a great 5th Wheel, no problems during our ownership.Re: Tow vehicle mods Lynnmor wrote: Rob_Fla wrote: Yes, Titan tank replaces OEM tank, uses OEM filler and vent connections and OEM sending unit. To get the miles to empty to work correctly, get the dealer to set the fuel tank size to the one now installed. I know they can do that on the GM but can that be set on the RAMs?Re: Tow vehicle modsYes, Titan tank replaces OEM tank, uses OEM filler and vent connections and OEM sending unit.Re: Tow vehicle mods rhagfo wrote: Rob_Fla wrote: I have replaced my OEM Fuel tank with a Titan 55 Gallon Fuel tank, love the longer range without going to a in-bed transfer tank as I have two tool chests in my bed along with my 5th Wheel Hitch. Also installed mud guards to keep rocks off the front of my 5th Wheel and not run into issues when in states like Texas with state laws that require Mud Guards on any Dually Truck. Maybe if I had a dually I would install a larger tank, but at 34 gal OEM I get over 300 miles towing, I still need to stop for relief before I run out of fuel. Yep, my OEM tank was 32 gallons, pulling our 17,000 lb 5th Wheel and getting 10 to 11 mpg only gives us a range of about 250 miles and we had better be finding a fuel stop. I would much rather stop at rest areas to stretch, walk and use the bathroom than truck stops. We now have range of 450 plus miles before needing fuel, we usually stop and stretch and pee about every 150 miles or so. I thought about putting a larger tank in my last GMC 3500 (it had a 36 gallon tank) but never did.
