We caught a drawer on attempt to push the slide out and bent the metal assembly.. so I am quite familiar with it now.. also near new, the (spot) welds that held the ram to the frame broke, so the slide didn't work at all..Re: Sliding closet doors keep coming off the track, how to fixthis year, another adventure with the closet doors.. the adjusters worked loose, then the doors came off the track again.. SO, I finally decided to try silicone RTV on the adjuster screws, and voila!.. no more adjuster problems.. but still one more change.. the doors slide as a unit left right and the back roller comes off the track, jumping over the little stop.. SO, I drilled a hole thru both tracks and put a bolt thru in the center, to limit the door slide into the other door space.. I put nuts on the bolt on both sides of the tracks to make sure to not bend the track. (had to do two bolts, one for each door. didn't take a pic, will have to do that) have gone about 4500 miles since these two changes, and the doors have not come off, and the latch is still easy to use (not pinched because a door adjuster has changed).Re: Why doesn't the math work? wilber1 wrote: ... I don't pretend to know why manufacturers chose a particular GVWR for a vehicle and I'm not about to make assumptions about how they do. Just because some states may legislate a maximum GVWR for 3/4 tons, doesn't mean all states do and all GVWR's are determined that way. 1T GVWRs are increasing with every new truck that comes out. You can say it is all about bragging rights but the engineering still has to be there to back them up. because there are laws in each STATE which defines specific vehicle classes.. 10,000 lbs, 11,600 or 11,700, and 13,000 if you want to sell a truck at a low end of the price range and have it used by commercial buyers (biggest volume) its gotta fit in the laws, AND the fees charged match.. duallys in Massachusetts are commercial.., obviously!.. who knew?!.. so, to stay within the law, they out the appropriate sticker on it. 250/2500's have 10,000 lbs limit, 350/3500 srw's go to 11,700. duallys above that, 13,000... cause thats what the state regs say. have next to nothing to do with the technical content of the vehicle in most cases.. but.. its a nasty 'law' thing.. so, there MUST be consequences somewhere...Re: All Seasons RV in Muskegon, Michigan????? golf_bears wrote: Thanks everyone for your input, appreciate your help. Not sure why General RV was mentioned in this request for info on All Seasons RV?? David Okkema, to your question, Price, Price, Price. not sure why? cause some of us chose some other dealer. (for the same reason, price)Re: All Seasons RV in Muskegon, Michigan?????I bought from General RV (Wayland MI) as well. Drove from Texas to pick up, now 3 yrs ago. they had the best price for what we wanted. beat Texas by over $15000. I wouldn't call it high pressure, but the salesman responded to every email promptly. warranty service has been here in texas, and the little bit needed was done without issue..Re: Rig destroyed today! TucsonJim wrote: I was notified by the insurance company today that they will not pay for an investigation of the failure. The field agent examined the truck and determined that the damage was too extensive and it would be worthless to pay an investigator to evaluate the cause. My guess is that there was a fuel leak and it was likely caused by a fuel line working loose after a filter change three weeks earlier. But the exact cause will never be known. It's very important that the fuel lines be properly reattached after a filter change. If you don't do the work yourself, you might want to verify that your mechanic has properly attached them. Jim thanks for taking the time to keep us informed.. and something to look out for. I change my own filters, but I will be more careful to check the clamps in the engine bay. I have a 2012 Ford 350 Dually. I put 28lbs in the firestone airbags, to keep the suspension off the overlaod springs which are harsh as all get out. I air up AFTER I connect the FW.. I believe that is where my truck's fire started. Vehicles have had resistors for fan speed in the heater for years! Chris Vehicles have also had cruise control systems for years, and hydraulic brake master cylinders too. What exactly is your point? I was making the point that FORD's resistor in the heater box has a habit of catching the vehicle on fire. It is a documented problem, though not on the same risk level as their cruise control fire problem. both those problems were on older trucks then the OP'sRe: Rig destroyed today! From your profile: 2013 Ford F350 Turbo Diesel SRW 4x4 Transfer Flow 50 Gallon Replacement Tank 2014 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS I am sure that many will want to know more when you have the details. Active regen's get things really hot under these new trucks. Who installed the Transfer Flow tank? If I was the insurance adjuster, that is the first area I would be looking at. Auto ignition temp for #2 diesel is around 410F. Active regen internal temps are in the area of 1100F. Please keep us in the loop and the outcome. also interested in the cause.. I have a 12 DRW with a 60 gal in bed tank.Re: Generator modification what is for a 5th wheel RValso watch out for exhaust leakage into the compartment. Carbon Monoxide is a silent/odorless killer.. many of the standalone units aren't as carefuly designed to limit this as they would not normally be contained.
