In our previous trailer I replaced the Jensen Omni directional with a King Jack that rotated. Our reception in the driveway improved from a couple stations to about 12. Common online wisdom is the wingard is a better unit, but you have to have clearance on the roof for it to fold down flat. The King Jack has roughly the same profile as the omni directional. The reason manufacturers are going to omni directional is they don't have to have a spot for the rotation handle inside the trailer. I had to cut out a blank panel in the cabinets to access the handle.Re: Pick up truck remembrance !In 1980 I bought a 1964 F100. 292 V8, I had to cut a hole in the metal dash to install a stereo (radio wasn't a factory option). I converted the 3 on the tree to a Hurst floor shifter. Had the gas tank in the cab, manual choke, no power steering or power brakes. Floor bulb windshield washer.Re: F150 HD Payload and Max Trailer - How to spot them? One possible clue is "Dumbo" tow mirrors.Re: DIY-who's tackled Foggy Glass repair?Residential double pane windows have argon gas between the panes, when they start fogging, its because the seal has failed and the inert argon has leaked out and allowed moisture in. Are RV double pains inert gas filled ?Re: Ductless AC instead of roof mounted ACThe torque values should be in the installation manual. Those flare fittings are the weak point at this time. There is a whole industry trying to produce an easy to use, reliable tool that will consistently produce a non leaking flare. If it was leaking, and you just tightened it down, it's probably going to leak again at some point.....Re: Rvers bewareFor anyone not familiar with the homeless situation in the Northwest, people are pitching tents pretty much where ever they want, and parking derelict RV's all over town.....Lacey isn't looking to arrest anyone coming home from Dicks with a new sleeping bag.Re: Whoever said you can't support the camper by the frame? As long as they're concrete building blocks and not just "cinderblocks".Re: carbon Monoxide alarm going offYou could be smelling other combustion byproducts, while you aren't smelling the CO, if there's combustion gases you can smell, and the CO alarm is going off, there could be CO in the mix. As others have stated there are other things that can set off a CO alarm, but if it's only going off when you run the water heater on propane, apparently there's some kind of issue that needs to be resolved. I work for an HVAC company, years ago we had a customer call in stating her new furnace was setting off her CO alarm. Funny thing was it was 75 degrees outside, I asked her if she 1. Had the furnace on, and 2 were her windows open. She answered that the furnace wasn't on, all the windows were open because they were painting the interior of the house.. End of problem.Re: 6 people in an F350 wnjj wrote: At least in Oregon, you need only use as many seat belts as you have. It’s legal to have more people than belts. I’m not saying I would do that though. ORS810.215 Exemptions from safety belt requirements (5) Any person who is a passenger in a vehicle if all seating positions in the vehicle are occupied by other persons. This is the state that won't let you pump your own gas ?Re: AUDI Q5 for towinglooks like on some of the Q5's max tongue weight is 440, not sure how that translates into the payload,
