Wish we had done it years ago. We decided because of age, and money to go for what we wanted the first time. We bought used and could not be happier. Sometimes we wait to long and then life makes decisions for us...go for it.Re: Windshield Replacementnice to read such a positive postRe: Not cleaning the rv ovenWe bought a used motorhome, and when I looked in the oven, I believe the owners before us, did not believe in cleaning it. I have been working on it, and it takes more then one cleaning for whatever they did. At this point, even with cleaning unsure I want to use mine for anything. Ewwwww. I agree with everyone about the smoke alarm...lol. Ours is very very very sensitive.Re: toad is dead Heisenberg wrote: They will not run w/o a timing belt, that is for sure. had to do with the speed and the voltage being put out...you know as a woman, I am just happy when I stick the key in and everything works the way it is suppose to...lol.Re: toad is dead Heisenberg wrote: What was the problem? Where to start...they replaced thermostat, battery, water pump, hoses, and alternator...I think that was everything, there may have been more...lol. As it would not stop over heating within a few minutes of driving, after each of those things being replaced. They did a pressure test twice and all was good. Three mechanics later and there is a timing belt that was off, needed replacing that was not allowing the alternator to put out the right amount of voltage or whatever..this is Sally answering this. The last mechanic did a test on the alternator and what it was putting out and found the problem..then it was replaced and all was good. So much of the engine is new now, why get rid of it...lol. The shop (Canadian Tire) did not charge us for those parts, put it all through warranty, discounted the labour we were charged because it took them so long to repair and none of the replaced parts were the problem except this timing belt (I think it is called a timing belt) I am sure you all will know. If it was not for the cost of the rental car, we would have gotten out rather cheap. Vacation was great, just a bit more expensive.Re: toad is dead Mr.Mark wrote: Burwoods wrote: Just to update and finish off this thread we started. We fixed our tracker, and are pleased with the decision. Thanks You should have never fixed that Tracker without our permission.... so, you have to sell it now. It's what Judge Judy would insist on. Ha ha!! Glad it all worked out! MM. LOL...thanksRe: toad is deadJust to update and finish off this thread we started. We fixed our tracker, and are pleased with the decision. ThanksRe: New Mystery Noise in DashWe have a noise like that it started last trip, but is coming from the fuse box area at the drivers feet. It starts after we turn power off on lights and such to go to bed or turn off the tv, actually started when we were hooked up to power for the first time at a campground. Will be interested in what others have to say.Storage questionThis is our first year storing our MH. We are in Canada and of course MH will not be in use. So our question is, as this has been mentioned to us. Do we store our MH with Hydraulic jacks down to take pressure off of tires? This did not cross our minds until someone mentioned it. What say you all.. ThanksRe: Ten year old MHsWE have a 15 year old MH, does not look it, now that we are looking after it. Now we have only had it a short time. But each time I make a reservation, I have only had to tell them that I have a 36' MH and I am towing something, so they know how many vehicles on the site. No one so far has asked me the year of my MH.
