I fastened a couple of stringers to the inside wall of the closet and mounted shelves on the outside. There was an empty space there so it was a great place for extra storage.Re: Cover for electric tongue jack?I haven't been to this sight in awhile so this may not be much help to you but I cut the top off of a Round Up weed killer container. It had all the right dimensions for an electric jack. I have toed the TT to Florida a couple of times and it stayed put.Re: TeardropNow there is a good idea for a winter project. I have full wood shop and I bet I could sell it after it was finished. I just might look into some plans for one on line. ;)StabalizersFor those of you who have had the old style jacks and now have the newer style that crank down at an angle, which in your opinion are better?Re: Kind Of CoolProbably some sort of NASA spy thingy. :)Re: ChuckGo with God.Buying used from a dealerI have been reading a lot on here about major problems with new TTs. It got me to wondering, is it any better buying a used TT from a dealer? I would guess that a lot of problem campers might get traded in. With a limited or no warranty from the dealer would you go that route? Do you think you would fare better buying from an individual? I bought my camper used from a dealer and I think I did ok. I am in the market for another camper and undecided on a new or used one.Vegetable oil spillSome time ago, last year I think it was. I went to set up camp and discovered that my bottle of vegetable oil had tipped over and the cap came off. It was in one of my upper cabinets. You can imagine the mess it created. After all this time and trying everything I can think off, I can't get the sticky film off the outside of the cabinets. It must have been in there for a couple of hundred miles before I discovered it. The whole bank of cabinets is one solid bottom piece. That entire piece was soaked with oil. I had non skid shelf liners and they have been washed and have come clean. I just need to find out what I can do about the bottom of the cabinets. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Last resort, I may have to replace them. That will be a chore I bet. Thanks...JohnRe: Hello Everyone. Rookie here!Welcome to the forum. You are going to meet some great people on here and you can find out almost anything you can think of concerning your camper. Have a great time with it.....pretty cool...JohnRe: grey water holding tank valveYou can fix it if you can find the parts. Check with a local RV dealer. They may offer to fix it but it will cost you in labor, big time!
