Just installed a front receiver on my 2001 F350 and am using the fold up carrier which is larger than I like. ThanksRe: Berkey filtersThanks everyone. Will be ordering one soon.Re: Berkey filtersThanks everyone.Re: 2019 Host CascadeCongrats on the soon to be yours camper. Looks great. Getting out of bed on the same side was one of the reasons why we went with the Mommoth but it works fine for many people. Looking forward to your build pics. Enjoy.Berkey filtersAnyone here have a travel Berkey water filter? For short trips we bring a 5 gal bottle of water but we’re doing a 3 week trip in the Spring and are looking for a way to have good tasting water to drink and cook with. Thanks.Re: Where to fill air in dually rear wheels?I have an onboard compressor for my airbags that has a port I can connect a hose to to air up my tires. Super convenient. It could just be our local tire shop but they wouldn’t’ air my dually up because it’s a PITA and he said it’s too time consuming for them.Re: New camperThat’s an interesting floor plan. I definitely like the recliners. That camper is pretty heavy so not sure how it will handle on a SRW but I would suggest changing out the anti-sway bars on both the front and rear if you haven’t already. Made a big difference on our F350. Good luck and enjoy the trip.Slideout cover questions.Hey guys, I was cleaning the covers over the slideouts and noticed a lot of sun damage to the area that is always exposed to the sun. It is very crunchy and there are small cracks in the material. Is there anything to seal and fill the material to make it last longer and does anyone use some kind of cover to protect them? I’m looking into a carport but having a tough time getting an answer on if they are legal for our property. ThanksRe: Removing the basement slide tray from HostCan’t help you with the removal but I can tell you I’ve been in the tray several times and rolled myself in and out to work on several issues including the removal of the back wall to access grey water tank for repair. Everyone has different needs but I find the tray very useful. Good luck with the removal.Re: Toilet question for Host Mammoth ownerMy wife has no problem with the toilet. For me, I have to duck my head and lean in to go. A little awkward but not that bad. As for sitting, I picked up the squatty potty with folding legs at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Much more comfortable than sitting with my feet on the little ledge and it slides in next to the toilet when folded up so as not to take up space. As stated moving, the hose from black tank to grey is an extra step but not much of a problem. All the benefits of Host far outweigh a few inconveniences.
