Anyone have a link to reviews of there coaches in 2010?Share some recent upgrade photos...Here are mine. I like to make RV furniture. All furniture you see was completed by my shop. Post your projects!RV ProjectsRe: Camping World Quality"For starters, an inline "regulator" is not a regulator, it's really a flow restrictor. It has a small dia. hole in it. There will be an orifice into the gauge and if you use it with the gauge pointing down, the gauge will get plugged. You could try removing it and cleaning it. Throw away that inline regulator and get a real one like a Watts 560 series." I know it is not plugged, thanks will look into the WATTS 560.Re: Camping World QualityReally did not want to get into the China vs US discussion, but we need to look at the truth, at least in my mind. We need to be smarter as consumers. Quality is not solely based on where the product is made. We have all had issues with products made in the USA. - Most competitive US manufactures are buying products from China and the global market. There is not a US car, for example, that is completely made in the USA with US built components. - We have become taken by "Made in the USA" when the fact is, a lot of these products are only assembled in the USA vs a US based/owned company. The profits don't stay in the USA and that is a problem. - Since we can not control the design or build process, or in a large part where the total product comes from, we need to hold the organizations, such as CW, fully accountable for selling junk. That is why I'm focusing on CW and not where the product is made. Don't get me wrong I prefer to purchase from US based/owned companies, but it is not always possible, sadly.Re: Camping World QualityFrom my own personal experience, when we purchased our latest MH we quickly realized it was all about profit. That was quickly resolved when I gutted a brand new RV and completely redid it myself. From the ground up and honestly we used only high end components. Been 10 years, barely ever had any problems. Admittedly I used items you would find in a higher end home store and not an RV supplier, thus Camping Word was not actively in my sites. Guess that was a good thing. Then, when the manufacture (GulfStream) almost went out of business and did get out of the MH industry, I felt bad for the employees, but not for the company. Would hate to see this happen to Camping World, but maybe this is what it will take? They seem to be expanding to quickly to me, hope the merchandisers/buyers at CW understand quality is critical to something most of us use for enjoyment. I, for one, have gotten less enthused about stopping at a CW store, but I do love looking at the new rigs. While I enjoy it, would not buy a new rig because I don't want to go back to the headaches of a new rig. I figure if they can't get the parts right from CW, the manufacture will not have an luck either. DW and I were talking about this today at lunch. Decided our next rig will be a bus conversion we likely do ourselves.Re: Camping World Quality Bobbo wrote: Did you leave the water pressure gauge out in freezing weather? I learned the hard way that you can't get all of the water out of the gauge. If you let it freeze, it ruins the gauge. The gauge has to be brought inside during freezing weather. Understood, no we don't winterize anymore. We use the RV year round, even at the house. It has never frozen that I know of.Re: Camping World QualityI agree, lets not create a thread focused on China related quality. My intent is to focus on the quality of items coming from Camping World, and honestly I do not care where they come from, in a way. ( to clarify, I believe in trying to buy things made in the USA whenever possible as I find they are generally of a higher quality). But more to the point, as RVers we need the items we purchase to hold up and be designed as such. These items are not something we just put in our houses, they are exposed often to vibration, movement and the vi gars of an RV lifestyle. Unfortunately, I have started looking away from Camping World and more towards items in the home stores, but as an RVer I want to support Camping World. Thus the reason for my thread. Maybe someone from Corporate will read this and take action.Camping World QualityI am a big fan of Good Sams and Camping World. I shop their often, and it is not close to me.... Lately I have been having issues with the quality of the products they are selling. Has anyone noticed the same? It would seem that the quality of some of the products they sell are going down hill. For example, I purchased a clothes hanger, it broke almost within a week, I had it replaced at a camping world, same issue. Cheap plastic and poor design. Purchased a water regulator with a gauge, the gauge is no longer working after only 3 months. No it is not clogged. Purchased a outdoor patio mat, which in the past I could get a full season out of, now the mat is separating at the stitching. Only had this item for 2 months. This is not a complaint thread, I only wish to see if anyone else is having similar issues and hopefully call Camping World management to take action. I would rather pay more for higher quality, you? Thanks..Re: RV Window Shields, not bad...True. They do have a link explaining them to some degree but the video needs work. I have only seen them in action, simple but effective.RV Window Shields, not bad...Just picked up a set of these, seem to work really well. Just thought you might want to check them out.
