DISH Outdoors Pay-As-You-Go
I have been a DISH Pay-As-You-Go Outdoor customer for over 4 years. In the past when we'd go camping our routine has been to open the MyDISH app, pay enough so DISH has a month in advance then authorize and reactivate my receiver. Once we return home I would call to cancel my service until next time. The remaining un-used balance would show as a credit on my account. So we were Paying-As-You-Go on a daily basis. Good deal! However this past trip I called to cancel and was told the Pay-As-You-Go policy had changed. Now Pay-As-You-Go is for a month MINIMUM regardless of how much you use it! Very disappointed. Now if we tailgate for a game we have to pay for a month for 1 day of service. Raw deal. Anyone have a suggestion of what to use instead? Thanks349Views0likes0CommentsHow to Restore Old Fiberglass
I searched and could not find anything.... Our MH is 16 yrs old. It is white fiberglass with decals. All the decals are ruined from sun exposure on one side so they have been removed. I want to restore the fiberglass before applying new decals. Nothing seems to work. It is thin layer of fiberglass laminated to luan. Using an orbital polisher I have tried polishing compound, Maguaris One Step 67, others, no luck. Any suggestions? If I am able to get the fiberglass white again (like the areas where the decals were) then what polish or product should I use to restore the shine, the original luster? We recently camped in the mountains of Alabama at Desoto SP. We had spotty cell signal. When we got back I called Verizon to confirm they could activate a T1114 router, activation fee was $35 and a $10/mon fee. All is good. So I bought a Verizon Novatel T1114, an Antenna Gear M39 and a painters pole to put it up in the air. Once delivered ****, I called Verizon to activate it and they reneged and would not activate the T1114 despite their previous commitment. They claim it is no longer supported by their system. That's bunk, my brother has a T1114 and they are continuing to support his. Regardless, I now must return my T1114 and try to get reimbursed. This despite making sure it was legit, and must buy another router for rural low signal areas, just for Verizon 4G WiFi, no voice needed. My antenna I bought has SMA connectors. Ideal Correct, I had a post a few weeks back. Wasn't a matter of not wanting too, I can't. The Winnebago motor home has solid styrofoam in the roof. There is no air space. They cut out channels for the wiring harness and air vents prior to being laminated together. This makes it impossible to pull any wiring thru after lamination. I did check just below the roof line at the antenna mount. I did not find any coax connection. I also checked with Winn Tech support. They said Winn runs a continuous line from the antenna head, down the crank up lift arm, into the roof, down the 20 ft length of roof to the electrical closet. A limb caught my crank up antenna and snatched it off the roof. The original coax is damaged somewhere inside the roof and is not accessible. And I cannot pull a new cable inside the roof. So I plan to run a new coax from a new antenna, run 20 ft down the center line of the roof and adhere with blobs of lap sealant every 12-18 inches. Will drill hole in roof and drop new coax into an electrical closet. Any tips? Expansion/contraction? Leave slightly off roof between lap seal blobs to allow for water drainage? Hi, we have a 2007 Winn Voyage 38J. A tree branch caught the loop of coax at the base of my crank up antenna and ripped it apart. Only a stub of the coax remains. This coax runs inside the roof, from the roof antenna back to the hallway switch cluster, about 20 ft. Reaching out to see if anyone pulled new coax for this line? I would love to pull all new coax rather then try to crimp a connector on the remaining stub. But I am worried the existing coax is potted or zip tied. I plan to wiggle and tug on it and see if I can get any indication of possibility. But I can't get carried away tugging cause I may end up having to use it !!1.6KViews0likes5Comments
