It has happened twice before so I am going from prior experience. My camper has one battery, we usually boondock at MX tracks although we also use campgrounds and plug in. My gen set is a 5500 watt. Hope this helps. Thanks for all the wisdom so far!!!Power Converter Replacement for 2007 Keystone Raptor 3814Hello, I need to replace power converter on my Keystone Raptor 3814. I have a general idea of where it is located but if anyone had the specific location, that would be very helpful. Also, at one time, there was a thread about who to call to ensure I order the correct converter. Any assistance with this would also be appreciated. Thank you!!Raptor 3814 Power ConverterHi all, I belive the OEM power converter on my 2007 Raptor 3814 is failing again. Moved it this weekend to our new house, plugged in shore power as always and it sounded like my converter was getting hit with a hammer. Works fine with gen set running. I think my converter is located inside panel just inside the smaller basement door. I have read the Progressive Dynamic equipment is the way to go. Is this just plug and play after I take the panel compartment off? I think I may drill some holes in the compartment to allow for better cooling. Maybe it is just the OEM converter, but this is the 3rd time I have had to replace it. Thinking I can do it myself. Thank you.2012 Thor HurricaneHello all, We are looking to make the change from a 5th wheel toy hauler to a Class A 2012 Thor Hurricane. We like it because of the bunk bed set up and hope to look at it this weekend. Are there any Thor Hurricane owners who can provide some pro's and con's on this unit? I believe it has the Ford Triton V10 and while I had a van with this motor, I want to ensure it can tow an 18 ft enclosed trailer. Any thoughts, comments or what to look out for would be appreciated. Thank you.Re: Use onboard Onan to power house in emergency?I just had my panel replaced and had the generator interlock installed where I can power my entire home without the fear of any back feed. I have a 7500 watt Generac genset which should power everything with the exception of my AC. We lose power frequently and have slept in our camper during the summer. Like everyone else said, a basic extension cord works or have it done professionally and put the interlock in. It has been just my luck to have spent the money to put it in and we have not lost power yet. LOLOnan Marquis Gold 5500 Fuel PumpHi guys, in the process of replacing my fuel pump and came across some useful (at least I think so) information for all of you. I had read that Airtex manufacturers the OEM pumps for Onan and they can be bought as an Airtex branded pump for about 70% less than an Onan. I did some quick research, found what I thought was the right pump and ordered it. Unfortunately, it was the wrong application for my genset although it looks like it would have worked. The part number was E11010. The issue in my case was the fact the connection on the output was at a 45 degree bend the wrong way. It needed to be verticle plus the wiring was too short and had the wrong connections. I could have modified it to make it work somehow but felt I would find the right part. So, in my situation, the correct part number from Airtex is E11015 and I purchased it on Amazon for about $45.00. It has the fitting in the right direction (vertical and the wiring is long enough to reach the connectors off the control panel. So, long story short, if you need a new fuel pump for an Onan 5500 Marquis Gold gen set, it is most like the Airtex E110015. I have a 2007 Keystone Raptor. Not sure of the genset model code. I can get that if you need it. Thanks for listening.Re: Onan 5500 Marquis Gold Fuel Pump locationI could hear the pump running while trying to prime the carb. It was like a hammer sound more than anything. That being said, I got nothing out of the fuel line when trying to prime the carb.
