Any problems I should be aware of . Will use battery box and protect cables. Just looking for anything I might not be seening in this project. Ideas? ThanksRe: Any TC-er's traveling to observe Total Eclipse 2017?I live 100 miles north of center line ,good enough for me. I will just stay home. They are saying the population in Wy will double for this event. If I do get a chance to get away from town I have a nice spot on top of the Big Horns I know will be empty.4wd and hard to get to, my kind of place.Re: Safety Mod Pass Through to Truck WindowI have had all three types listed here so far. The blow up stile will rub the paint off and will get sucked out of place, the covered foam works best . I had a local guy make me one. The one I liked the best but have given up trying to find was a round piece of material with a spring sewn in around each edge . You stick the spring, one through each window and they would conform to the window opening sealing out the weather.Re: Thinking About SolarCheck out solarblvd.com for prices.Re: Hallmark vs. Jayco vs. Four WheelBefore you buy anything measure first. My old FWC would not fit in a newer truck bed.Re: Portable vs On Board Air Compressor?I have the Viair mounted behind the back seat, bought one of those 5gal. Tanks for filling tires and mounted on the frame under the bed of truck (2015 f350 ) ran an air line to rear and to front of truck. Now I can fill my tires and my bags no problem. You need the constant duty compressor for filling tires otherwise your pump will shut down after so long a run time.Re: '99 S & S camper on '02 Ford Superdty LongbedI have a 99 S&S 9.5 in my 2015 f350. It fits fine you just need to raise up to clear the cab.Camper coversLooking for input here on what you folks have used. Problems, concerns, ideas, brands. Here we get a lot of snow that will sit most of the winter,I trust my roof but why take chances. Have used the plastic tarps and am not a fan.Thought I would spend some money and hopefully get something that will do a better job.Re: Where to stop between Yellowstone and DenverSaratoga Wy, a little farther than half way but nice area. You can go into Denver from the west or cut back to I80 to Cheyene and go south. Nice drive thru the mountains down to Denver. Just head south to I70 and then east.Re: Calling Solar GurusAnyone considering going solar must read HandyBob's Blog. He tells it like it is after a lot of research and trial and error on his part. All with a good sense of humor.
