I was able to fit 2 4-stroke sport quads (YFZ 450 and LTZ 400) and 2 Banshees.Re: RaptorI have an early 2007 Raptor 3814 that I have pulled with a 2001 GMC K2500HD D/A SRW w/air bags. No issues to date, other than factory installed Carlisle bias ply tires on the trailer. I do know that my GCW is above what the truck is rated for - when I ran it over the CAT scales, I had 4400# on the truck's front axle, 6400# on the trucks rear axle and 12,200 on the trailer's triple axles with 2 sport quads in the garage, ready to travel but with no water in the tanks. To take the worry out of being close on the rear tire capacity, I switched to Rixson 19.5 alloy wheels and 16 ply (load range I) tires on all 4 that give me a 9600# tire capacity vs. 6800# for the 265-16 E's I had.Re: e track pulled upIf you tie off to the roll cage or frame, a big bump in the road will cause the suspension to compress, loosening the straps which will act like a Jerk strap when the Rhino rebounds. If you tie down the tires or attach to the suspension close to the wheels, this is unlikely to happen. In my Toy Hauler or in my box trailer, I cross tie them diagonally...my e-track is attached with 1-1/4" long # 14 SS screws in every other hole - no problems so far!Re: Talk me out of it if you can 19.5sOne thing to consider is that if you tend to air down your trailer tires (as we do in the sand), any ".5" tire ie: 16.5, 19.5, etc. does not have a "safety bead" and it is easier to peel a tire off the rim in twisting or side-loading maneuvers. Also, when the tire goes flat, it may come completely off the rim. When they stay aired-up, no problem other than a harsher ride!Re: Raptor intermittent slide operationOn my '07 3814, I had the same problem with my single slide. The "breaker" is only 30 amp rated, which seems like it is just enough when the unit is new. I replaced it with a 40 amp and no problems since. The breakers are available at truck stops or truck supply stores. Take your old one with you to get the exact style. My single slide has had a squeal (metal to metal) since new and no amount of lube (as far as I can get in the telescoping arms) has solved it - works fine other than that.Re: Is it safe to load a big touring motorcycle into a TH??Some bikes (dual-sports, like DRZ 400 and KLR 650) have the starter use a one-way clutch behind the ignition/alternator rotor. Unloading these bikes (and maybe others) using the clutch to slow the roll back can lead to a bike that won't start...won't even turn over, even with jumper cables. Voice of experience...had to "run and bump" to break it free - then it started fine. That being said, I think the Harley has a typical "bendix spring" starter and doesn't have the jamming issue. I agree that if you do use the clutch to slow your descent, put the trans in low gear so it's unlikely to turn the motor backwards. My biggest problem loading/un-loading my GL 1800 into Toy-Hauler is at the bottom of the ramp...inseam challenged! Loading, I just go for it...un-loading, I use the reverse and turn the bars to the left as I approach the bottom of the ramp so my left leg can "touch"!Re: which teeny car for toy hauler?I looked into this a while back - an older Toyota Echo (became the Prius) with a gas engine was about 2200#. The Prius is a lot heavier (batteries). I think the Toyota Yaris is similar...Re: Tire challenge - 15"I have an '07 3814 Raptor that came with the Carlisle Bias-ply grenades. After a middle tire exploded, Keystone funded the replacements. I picked Green-Ball "D" rated radials after weighing my rig and finding 12,800# on the trailer axles ("D's" were good for 15K +). A year later, at the beginning of the season, I found the tread area on 5 of the 6 tires separating, so with adjustment, I upgraded to Green-Ball "E's" and have been ok since. I didn't go with 16's since the trailer is listed to be 13'5" tall with the 15's.
