I have been doing this for the last 18 years with this truck with zero problems. I tried once with 65psi in the front and it was kind of sloppy going down the freeway.Re: For those that tow 4 downI tow a 97 Wrangler with Roadmaster brackets, Roadmaster Stowmaster tow bar and a Even brake braking system with zero problems with many miles on the tow.Re: soft side pop up TC and windWe camp on the coast quite a bit and it can be very windy at times. The fabric sides on my camper are pretty tight when the roof is up. We get very little if any flapping from the wind. We do get wind noise, but you are going to get that in any type of camper. I just have to remember to wind up the awnings before going in at night, don't ask how I know this.Re: 4150 Happijac Bearings bcbigfoot wrote: I got the needle bearings and thrust washers from my local bearing wholesaler they are as follows brand name and part #: INA TC1018 Thrust needle cage assembly INA TWA1018 Thrust washer The bearings are approx. 2$ each and the thrust washers are 1$ each. Thanks again.4150 Happijac BearingsI finally got some water intrusion into my jacks and the bearing are rusted tight for the jack screw. All of the other parts were cleanable and in good shape. My question is where can I purchase the needle bearings? Any help would be appreciated.Re: Smoked Salmon on the grillWe catch our own salmon off the San Fransisco coast here in Ca. I found a McCormick Gourmet Cedar Plank Salmon Seasoning a couple years ago at a Safeway store and it has been great. I cook my salmon with the skin on. I lightly rub the fillet with olive oil and add a good amount of the seasoning to the meat side only. I like a hot grill for my salmon. I put the salmon on the hot grill meat side down to get a good sear on it, i like it crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. After I get good color on the meat side I flip it over to the skin side and finish it there. Some times the skin will come off on the grill, but who cares at this point as it will be done. Try this seasoning also on chicken, you won't be disappointed.Re: Towing Jeep YJ Four DownI have a 97 TJ with a manual transmission that I flat tow. Transfercase in neutral, transmission in 2nd gear and key turned 1 click forward to keep the steering wheel from locking. I have towed it this way for many thosands of miles with no problems.Re: Outfitter camperWe have a 2006 9.5 Apex and have used it a lot over the last 10 years. The only real complaints I have is both grey and black water electric valves have failed as in dead. 3 years ago I replaced them with a different kind of electric sewer valves and relocated the switches in the generator storage compartment. The manual over rides on the original valves were a joke being an aluminum slot for a screw driver that stripped out first try? Redoing the valves was a job as there is very limited clearance in the basement. I replaced the valves with 3"Auto-Drain with 3" Valterra blade valves. These have worked perfect for the last 3 years now. If I ever have to do an over ride all I have to do is remove the kick plate, reach in and pull the handle on the blade valve.
