Wires, thanks for the tip!Re: Overnite dry camp passing thru Las Vegas, NV?Thanks! forgot about Railroad Pass. That's right at the I-11 onramp.Overnite dry camp passing thru Las Vegas, NV?Been several years since we regularly drove Reno to Phoenix. Used to park overnite at the Casino at Indian Springs on 95 before the Air Force took it over. Then we camped at Hoover Dam Lodge before the the I-11 bypass made that impractical. Is there another truck stop or casino or other lit lot that allows us to dry camp/park overnite along Hwy 95 north or south of Vegas now? Thanks!RV Lot Sales sites for Arizona? We're thinking about buying a deeded rv space in the Phoenix/Tucson area. Are there any websites that specialize in posting them? Or a list of parks that sell lots? Thanks in advance!Re: Tucson to Olympia, WAWe’re in Reno but have done both ways. Tucson to Reno via Wickenburg/Vegas is an easy, scenic drive. Only about 4 stop signs/lights in 750 miles. From Reno we took 80 to 5 then all the way up. Again, very easy. Overnighted at a truck stop in Oregon. It rained in Or and WA but we found out with the class A we were above the spray and it was easier than driving a car!Re: Tucson to Depoe Bay, OregonWe drive Tucson/Reno quite a bit and Vegas is never a problem. I just leave about 6 car lengths so everyone can change lanes without being desperate. In 750 miles there are only about 4 stop signs. Very easy drive. Nevada roads are great. Then you can take I-80 to 5 or take 395 and angle over. We have found I-5 south of Sacramento very rough with heavy traffic.Re: prevent fresh water from freezingWith our motorhome and cabover the damage has been in the toilet valve. I don't know how to prevent that for sure without totally draining the system after each outing. I dumped a gallon of RV antifreeze in the fresh water tank and ran the pump but never did see pink in the water after running the pump for a long time so don't know if the toilet valve is protected. Gave up and drained the whole thing. For actually using it in freezing weather, keep the furnace on.Re: Ford gas tank access from coach?Blownstang01: You nailed it! Have never had the tank under 1/4 before. Thanks! Grumpy: I see servicing the FP on my F250 is the same drop the tank or remove the bed job. Big: they had to remove the jacks and cut off the skid bar, weld it back on, etc. Rexhall didn’t plan on servicng the pump, I guess. Thanks for your help!Ford gas tank access from coach?Need to access the fuel pump area. Has anybody measured and cut a hole through the floor under the bed to access it that way? The gen isn’t getting fuel and everything looks good back to the tank. I put a primer bulb on the line and it just sucks air so want to check the hose/tank connection. We had the tank dropped a couple years ago to replace the fuel pump and don’t want to spend another $1200 on this. Thanks for your help!Re: End of TC era for DakonthemountainHa! We just bought a new TC for our 2004 F250 so we can go camping again. The 30' MH was great for visiting the older gen but they've all passed away. Now we can get back into the USFS campgrounds again.
