I simply said, don’t know about you but I’ve never sold anything for what I was asking, you are probably the same, what is the real number you are willing to accept? I was very comfortable with the answer and pulled the trigger. Probably a ball park starter point is around the average retail +/-. The problem we had with our last camper purchase is we wanted a model that had been discontinued for a couple years. And it was for a short bed, which narrowed availability. It wasn’t like there were a ton of them out there used. All has to be taken in to consideration. Good luck!Re: New Host CascadeHappy Camping! Awesome rig, best of luck with it.Re: DRW back to SRW5 years hauling a NL 811 on a 2500 Dodge SRW, 6 months hauling an Adventurer 86SBS on a Ram 3500 DRW. For the way we use our truck, no, won’t consider going back. The stability difference in our newer rig is exceptionally noted by the wife (& me). Of course I’m comparing an 8 year old truck to a 18 year old truck but the ride is so much nicer and all the new old truck has is air bags.Re: Short box dually?FWIW, old rig was a NL 811 sitting on a ’01 Dodge quad cab 2500 standard (short) bed SRW 4x4 CTD. Quite a few mods and still never felt real comfortable though we did ok over the 5 years we used it. New rig is a ‘15 Adventurer 86 SBS sitting on a ‘11 Ram Mega dually 3500 4x4 CTD. Added air bags, that’s it. Our new to us camper is configured for a short bed so it has the Inan gen. COG is pretty much the same (about 1” diff) between the two rigs. Very comfortable ride, extremely happy with the stability on the road and when parked. TC’s are very similar in weight, just much more comfortable all the way around in the “new” rig. Some folks think the Mega Dually looks funny, we like the looks and interior space, personal preference.Re: Downloading at CampgroundWe usually drop the TC if staying more than a couple days AND we want to roam around.Re: HOW to GET RID of a LOT of GOOD STUFF I Might Use SomedayYou’ve gotten some good advice. We went from 5 years in anTC to a year in a FW, now back in a TC (thank goodness). We never filled up all of the storage space in the FW so it was relatively easy downsizing. Like others have said in the past here, if it hasn’t been used in awhile, and isn’t one of those emergency items, Bye Bye. Lesson learned from a friend who survived totalling his truck/camper/boat combination when a DUI crossed in to his lane...EVERYTHING in the cab that is not tied down becomes a flying object that will hurt when it hits. My backseat has been pretty much empty since his experience. Not preaching, just sharing.Re: Might be buying a Dually....Just hauled home a new to us camper from Portland, OR to Nor Cal on our new to us (last year) ‘11 Ram 3500 DRW. Our old beloved truck was an ‘01 Ram 2500 SRW. What a remarkable difference in ride and handling our new old truck provides! Granted there are many differences in interior & motor (6.7 vs 5.9) but wow. All I added was air bags on the 3500. Smooth ride and great tracking around corners. DW is a much more comfortable copilot after this trip. I guess it was a long five years for her on the road in our previous rig.Re: Adventurer 86SBS, Got one?Thank You Travels with Yoly. We have heard some of the same about the number of RV rentals in “Canadia”.Re: Adventurer 86SBS, Got one? Thanks for the responses. Part of the question is regarding overall build quality & how they hold up. All brands have their issues, I understand that. Really looking around on the web just not seeing much. The other part of the question is about that particular model. We just got back from a quick road trip to the Portland, OR area to look at a used AF811 and ended up buying a ‘15 Adventurer 86SBS. Just comparing these two units, the 86SBS was pretty much loaded featurewise compared to a year older unit with very few options on the AF. Dealt with folks at Apache and were extremely pleased with that experience. If anyone here has this model would like to here from you. Thanks!Adventurer 86SBS, Got one?Having a hard time finding owners of this particular TC. Looking at a 2015 this weekend and would like to hear from anyone here with current experience. Good, the bad, the ugly just looking for some real owner experience. Much obliged!
