I sacrificed the couch, but gained a very large U-dinette to get what I wanted. There are plenty of campers out there that will fit that low 5000 lb. range, you usually just have to give up something to get there. As far as the Sunset Trail brand is concerned, I've only had to make a few minor repairs in the 10 trips we've taken since June.Re: Towing mirrorsLove them. Had them on my Sierra and currently on my F-150. Highly recommend them. Just bought a set for our friend's F-150, and they cost around $45 on Amazon.Re: quad bunk with outdoor kitchenCheck out the camper in my signature. 27.5' and 5072 lbs. Has the double wide bunks. The only thing it's missing (but I'm not missing it) is a couch.Re: Crossroads vs Jayco? For me, it came down to floorplan, length and weight. Jayco has a great reputation, and I might have gone that direction if they had the right camper to fit my needs.Re: Rope LightsThis is the first time I've heard of people using them on the ground. Does anyone have a picture of them laid out?Re: cubic foot of wood? how big is this? damn restrictions Gaffer222 wrote: westernrvparkowner wrote: pitch wrote: Google up the website. This camp owner links to the NYS DEC ban site, which clearly explains the ban and rules and distances that need to be observed. Then on the website it self she claims that no outside wood can be allowed in the park DUE TO THE DEC BAN. This is a bald faced lie. NY allows unrestricted movement of wood with in fifty miles of its source. So westernrvpark owner are you going to defend the lie? This park owner is an opportunist money grabber. If she is so desperate for the extra 3 dollars that she can afford to alienate how many campers, perhaps should sell out. Maybe she doesn't care to source all the outside wood brought in. If infected wood is brought in, it will be the park, not the camper who is long gone, that will be affected. Other than losing your exhaulted business, how do you know it has effected her business on iota? I am pretty sure if the wood met with your pricing approval you would find something else to gripe about, so yes, I will stand by my position that park is probably better off without your business. Any customer so cheap that $3.00 will cause them to go someplace else is a customer most businesses can afford to lose. It's not a customer being "cheap" over $3. It's a customer who prefers to bring their business to other campgrounds that don't gouge. Bottom line, anyway you want to twist it, $8 is a crazy price for that amount of wood. If they are so worried about the trees in the campground then a sound business plan would be to offer wood at reasonable profit so campers are not apt to sneak wood in. The State allows properly kiln dried and labeled wood to be transported. The campground bans approved wood sold at half the price at a local store? Pure greed "anyway you want to twist it".... X2!Re: Is there a nice RV park near Virgina Beach, VA?We stayed at Holiday Travel Park two summers ago. Nice place, but the noise from the jets was deafening. It's located right on the edge of the naval base. Look at it on Google maps and you'll see what I mean. We'll find something else next time we go.Re: camping fingerlakes regionTry Jellystone Park in North Java (south of Darien Lake). Kids will love it. Jellystone Park If you like the beach, try Hamlin Beach State Park. Bring your bikes.
