If infected wood is brought in, it will be the park, not the camper who is long gone, that will be affected. Other than losing your exhaulted business, how do you know it has effected her business on iota? I am pretty sure if the wood met with your pricing approval you would find something else to gripe about, so yes, I will stand by my position that park is probably better off without your business. Any customer so cheap that $3.00 will cause them to go someplace else is a customer most businesses can afford to lose.
Google up the website. This camp owner links to the NYS DEC ban site, which clearly explains the ban and rules and distances that need to be observed. Then on the website it self she claims that no outside wood can be allowed in the park DUE TO THE DEC BAN. This is a bald faced lie.
NY allows unrestricted movement of wood with in fifty miles of its source.
So westernrvpark owner are you going to defend the lie?
This park owner is an opportunist money grabber. If she is so desperate for the extra 3 dollars that she can afford to alienate how many campers, perhaps should sell out.
It's not a customer being "cheap" over $3. It's a customer who prefers to bring their business to other campgrounds that don't gouge. Bottom line, anyway you want to twist it, $8 is a crazy price for that amount of wood. If they are so worried about the trees in the campground then a sound business plan would be to offer wood at reasonable profit so campers are not apt to sneak wood in. The State allows properly kiln dried and labeled wood to be transported. The campground bans approved wood sold at half the price at a local store? Pure greed "anyway you want to twist it"....
