They have ground temps around 65 - 75F, and the water goes into the RV around 65 = 70F. Try the same water heater at 45F input, like is found here in Oregon and in Washington state. That causes the water to come out of a tankless water heater lukewarm. . . Or you would need to lower the gallons per minute if the water is coming out warm, not warm enough for a good shower. Fred. That's what I'm wondering. Does the water come out hot immediately or do you need to let it run a bit before you get truly hot water. Input/ambient temperature will have an effect. It takes a little while to get the water from the heat exchanger to the faucet as it does now but the difference is that once it runs hot it stays that way till you run out of water or propane. My first experience with tankless was in Germany in the 60's and it remains the most cost effective method today.Re: Tankless water heater lanerd wrote: Is the tankless water heater the same thing as an endless hot water system? Just wondering. Ron Exactly so, one of the reasons I love it. Only uses fuel when you need it.Re: Tankless water heater 64thunderbolt wrote: For those who dry camp I have done field testing on a new tankless heater for Truma corp. Test unit was installed in the spring and I used it several times throughout the summer. They are on the market now. In Nov they installed the production unit. This is one of the best mods I have ever done to a toy hauler. It has saved me approx 50% in propane use. I have taken showers as I do @ home letting it run continuously for 10/15 min and there was never a change in temp. No more reheating the tankful of water over & over. No more waiting for enough hot water. It is propane only and is absolutely wonderful for dry camping. I am very interested in this, I have been a home user of a Rinnai propane tankless water heater for eight years now. is it really available and reliable now?Re: tonnaeuYes I have an access toolbox type roll up tonneau cover.Re: de winterizing without bleach darsben wrote: darsben wrote: So you never drink city water? The risks of using the bleach to kill all microbes that can harm or kill you and afterwards thoroughly rinsing with fresh water are much less than leaving the tank untreated. If you are very concerned bring bottled water to drink. But as for me the sodium hypochlorite (bleach) is the only way to go. Makes sure you run the solution through all the pipes. edit added thought; Are you against vaccinations for children? They pose a risk as well. Scary thought which has and probably will continue to lead to reoccurrence of long eradicated children diseases.Re: RV BarnsI too am interested in costRe: bikes in bed of truck katie kate wrote: Hi trying to come up with away to carry 2 26 inch bikes in bed of my truck, 2014 F350 Long bed, while towing 5th wheel.
