As I stated in my OP the tv will not be used up front but the dvd player will be as it is connected to the tv in the back of the RV. And If I so choose to run the tv in the front as well it is my choice, although I as a driver cannot see the tv from where I sit but some of my passengers might want to view it as we travel. There were only a couple of good responses to this post, snip the wire or replace the outlet box. I like the snip the wire one, I might look into that..TV Shut off when key on bypassHi. I am wondering where the solenoid would be to bypass the front tv shutting off when you start the engine? I have a 2000 Damen intruder 349 ford chassis. It's not that I want to watch tv while driving it's just that the rear and front tv are connected to the same dvd player and my kids want to watch a movie while traveling in the back bedroom. I do hear a clicking in the front somewhere every time I turn on the engine key and then I loose power to the tv and dvd player in the front. What would this solenoid look like? And how can I bypass it? Or is it easier just to purchase another dvd player and put it on the tv in the back? I really don't want to do that as I like the both of them connected together on the same dvd player.. Any help would be appreciated..Re: Heater Control not working on dashInstalled a new heater switch. Nothing, same thing. Only works on high...Any ideas?Re: Heater Control not working on dashCan't believe I forgot to put the make and model in.:S It is a 2000 Ford Chassis on a Damon Intruder 349.Heater Control not working on dashOK, I've diagnosed to the full extend of my knowledge (which is not much) on fixing my heater/ac blower motor on my dash from working only on high. I've replaced the resistor and the relay still only works on high. I've checked wires and fuses, I've checked all grounds, I've followed wires, I've checked power to everything and nothing. I've also noticed that my controls won't change from defrost to vent to floor just stays on defrost. I'm also wondering why this unit turns on even when the key to the ignition is off and even when the unit is turned off the fan will still run if turned on high. I am majorly confused on this, I don't know what else to look for? Only thing I can think of is changing out the entire heater control panel. Any ideas from anyone else? This is really bugging me.. Thanks for any help out there..Leveling jacks not workingOK, so just purchased this 2000 Damon intruder and the hydraulic jacks aren't working. I've done the procedures to make them work but still nothing. I've put it in park, set the parking brake, turn the switch on lights come on but nothing happens. My system is the HWH 225 manual leveling system. I have green lights but jacks do not extend and hear no pump running. Checked voltage at the pump and have voltage going to the pump through the main power supply connection but nothing that goes through the solenoid no power reaching the pump. The 2 wires off of the solenoid are hot as well when the switch is on. I'm not that familiar with these jacks system so I don't know where else to look. I have checked all fuses that I know of and they are all good.. What else should I check? Also my heater fan motor in my dash only runs on high, replaced the relay switch and the resister still works only on high.. Usually that fixes the problem but not on this one anyone have any ideas on that as well?? thanks..Re: What to do? Gas/dieselEnded up pulling the trigger on the Damon Intruder. Find out it's a 2000 model not a 1999, not that that makes a difference but it's a pretty nice home. Couple issues I'm having with it right now are the leveling jacks won't come down. The green light is on but as soon as I release the levers nothing happens. Checked power to the pump and have good power there. I'm thinking it's some sort of safety thing that I'm not doing right. I have the parking brake in and the gear shift selector in park but still nothing happens. They are the HWH manual jacks. Also the heater A/C blower for the engine heat only works on high. I've changed out the relay and resistor for it and still the same. Actually if I change out the relay for the new one I get nothing so I put the old relay back in. I'm lost and don't know what else to do other than getting a new heater control unit. Any ideas from you guys on this? Other than that everything seems to work and the inside is in near perfect condition and I love the floor plan. Just need help with the jacks and blower motor. The previous owner said the jacks were working earlier.. What am I doing wrong or what switch is not working and not allowing them to extend?? Thanks for any info..What to do? Gas/dieselOK, so I'm selling my 5th wheel toy hauler. I want another motorhome. Here are my choices and $$$ is pretty much the influence here so bear with me. What's of better quality "holiday Rambler Vacationer"?, or Damon intruder by thor? I looked at the holiday Rambler and it was in OK shape haven't looked at the damon yet but from talking to the guy and finding out he's an older fella and from the pictures he's sent me it's in "mint" condition. Both have the V10 both are 1999's the damon has a better floor plan in my opinion and 2 slides rambler only has 1. Tires are brand new on the damon and pretty good tread on the rambler but not new. Rambler is more $$$ by a couple thousand. Of course I would rather have a diesel pusher but from what I've seen and from what I can afford the only pusher I would be able to get into at my price range would be a non-slide pusher. Not sure I want to do that, or would that be ok? I Don't know. I can do all the work my self for any repairs and stuff. If you guys can help me out on this that would be great.. Some idea's and/or facts would be awesome.. Thanks..Re: 1995 American Eagle????????Called the guy today to set up a time to take a look at this coach and turns out he sold it.. BUMMER.. I was really looking forward to looking at this unit. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find something out there even better..Re: class A vs. 5th wheelHere is my opinion. I currently have a 5ver toy hauler. It's great and it's huge, hard to park, hard to back into my yard where I store it, hard to hook up, hard to level, and a lot of things that I could tell you that I don't like. But there are things I do like about a 5ver. Such as having a vehicle to drive around with when your at your site, and on mine it's a toy hauler so it has a garage and I've set up my garage ramp to use as a deck works great. UMMM. That's it.. Other than that it's a pain to move around, I don't like it and am going to sell it and get a MH.. I've had motorhomes before this 5ver and wish I would have never touched it. I have a great 1 ton truck to pull it with but I'm sorry I want a mh again, easier to park great for the kids having to use the restroom while on the road and fun to drive.. So as for me hands down it's a motorhome. Just my opinion.
