Maximum payload and towing capabilities are for properly equipped vehicles with required equipment and a 150-lb. driver and passengerand vary based on cargo, vehicle configuration, accessories, option content and number of passengers. See label on door jamb for carrying capacity of a specific vehicle. Horsepower, torque, payload and towing are independent attributes and may not be achieved simultaneously. For additional information, see your Ford Dealer. Does this mean 300lbs is kept off that tire and payload rating sticker for 2021?!?! If you look at the slide in camper section of the F150, each vehicle configuration has it's payload number listed on the chart. But at the very front of that chart area, you will see what constitutes that determination. But you will also see that it doesn't assume how many people your hauling. So the final payload will be the number on the chart PLUS 150lbs for each and every seating position on the truck. That means an additional 900lbs for a bench seat truck.Re: 3.5 EB Engine Braking?2013 EB with 6speed here. I'm towing a 5er at about 8300lbs. Here in Ohio, it's relatively flat. But with the hills in Pa. and the mountains of W. Virginia and Virginia I have no problems with engine braking, which actually surprises me some. I leave the tow/haul on, turn the cruise off and decellerate to just under 60, and let it ride. Stab the brakes maybe 2-3 times and then I'm done. The rockies might be a slightly different scenerio, but I doubt that much. Still a working man so I'm sure when I'm able to get that far west, I'll have a bigger TV.Re: Sliding HitchThe pullrite is very automatic. It uses a gearing system that pushes the actual 5th wheel hitch backwards as soon as the head starts to turn. I have to use a strap to hold it in place when I'm not towing, or else you hear it it sliding back and forth. Once you get the hang of it, it's very slick to use. The engage lever locks into place and it makes a very loud noise when it engages, and the handle pulls out full when disconnected. It is very susceptible to pin binding, so chocks and your parking brake are in order. However, I have an older 5th wheel that I tow with a f-150 with the 5.5 ft bed, so this hitch is a must. The front corners of the trailer do not have the rounded corners, so I can get close to 90 degrees but not quite. But when I look at what it does to the suspension of my trailer with that kind angle, I don't care.
