When I was looking I searched ebay for Dodge, Chevy, GMC and Ford. When I would see something I liked with the options I wanted I would them search for issues on that year make and model. I was stationed in Louisiana when I found my truck in Texas, used Oil worker truck. Just under 100,000 miles and fully loaded GMC 4x4. Drove 4 hrs one way to look at it and drove it home that night, but I also had a Ford and Chevy I was looking at while I was there in case I found something on the GMC that was a deal breaker.Re: Toy Hauler Pictures momentum rv wrote: DOITHARD Thanks. I have not needed to run all three on generator yet although I have heard it can be done with the 5500 Onan I have. I have run two at a time on 30 amp service (could not do three) 50 amp no problem. Mine are all ducted so typically we don't run the one in the room we are in because of the noise and the ducting keeps everything cool, so really only use two at a time anyway. Another nice thing about 3 units is you can cool down any area fairly quickly using the dump vent on the unit. Sorry can't remember the amp draw on each. I thought with the three factory A/C they were switched and you could only run center and front or center and rear, not all three at once?Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereAnother reason to stay stock would be if your vehicle was already close to max towing weight, adding an additional fuel tank and 50-60 gal of more fuel sounds like a lot of added weight?Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here bshpilot wrote: all these damn short beds UGH - no room to put the extra fuel tanks that you need ! Not everyone tows long distance, I can be at the ocean or the mountains on a standard size tank of fuel.Re: CW on line and sales tax? Buying on-line through other states is in no way illegal here in the US and very commonly practiced. Normally I wouldn't have noticed or worried about a sales tax but while price matching RV washer/dryer combos today on-line I noticed other sites like PPL beat CW by over $300 because of tax alone. So your telling me the morally correct thing to do was to buy from the seller that added taxes just because I should feel obligated to pay taxes? Come on, $300 in tax? That would be about $4,250 at 7% for washer/dryer, are you sure you are not stretching the truth a little for dramatic effect? :R Travelon No not stretching at all, I just didn't list everything I had in the shopping cart on top of the washer/dryer. The washer/dryer alone was in the $70-80 range, but by adding the same stuff I was wanting to buy from CW to my PPL cart the difference not having to pay tax was $300. Sorry for the misunderstanding.Re: CW on line and sales tax? owenssailor wrote: I always wonder about the morality of people who intentionally avoid paying the taxes dues in their jurisdiction. It has nothing to do with RVs and everything to do with whether or not there is a brick and mortar store in your state. There must be a CW somewhere in your state. Yes that's it, totally went over my head. I'm use to buying on ebay just so I can save a little. Being retired now every little bit of saving's help.Re: Toy Hauler PicturesWe just have our's at a local camping area for the summer so we can use it whenever we want and use the pools. Thinking about hitting the mountains for a week or so at the end of the month up near Asheville NC., then we might have some more scenic pics but for now this all we have. CW on line and sales tax?Does CW online have a sales tax for everyone in any state? I buy a lot of items online to save from having to pay our states sales tax, but buying from CW tax is added still which makes the prices whether on sale or not more expensive than other on line vendors. I'm also surprised if I go to the store and they don't have something I need that I have to pay to have it shipped to the store? If I go to Walmart or Lowes and need something that they sell but don't have in the store, it will be delivered to the store for free or to my house if I choose to pay. I'm not understanding why CW isn't the same way. Yes, I'm very new to RV's. I still learning how the RV world works.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereHere's my tow rig.
