He will probably be a drive-by poster.Re: Poopy Paper ProblemMy tank is shallow under the pooper, but my bathroom sink also flows into the black tank. Sometimes I run hot water while I contemplate life as it is. We also use a burperware plastic pan in the kitchen sink and dump it into the black tank thru the terlet. That usually takes care of anything that has taken up residence directly below. As far as what brand to use. The Star Trek toilet paper is much better than the John Wayne brand.Re: Over cab storageMine was built with that space being used for cabinets and storage, even behind the flat screen.Re: Tire repair (not)No way, no how that a dual tire would break the bead if it went flat while sitting still and the RV didn't move. I have seen many dual tires run flat and not break the bead if the mate was still inflated. On second thought, if it was recently mounted and still had wet tire slide it might. Maybe.Re: Not Such Great service!!![COLOR=] I am not in the towing business but that sounds high to me when truck drivers are driving for less than $1.00 per mile And that truck has a load waiting to pick up and does not deadhead for more than 50% of the time as a tow truck does, plus the checkout the price of equipment. See how many "large car condos" you can buy for the cost of a single tow truck (designed to mainly pick up and tow) or how many tens of tractors that you can buy for the cost of a decent recovery rig. These trucks are nowhere cheap to buy and operate at more than 5X cost of a simple road tractor. BTW, we were charging $1.40 a mile for the F350 trucks, so extrapolate that to what the big trucks were getting. Using a tow rig, we charged $2.10 per mile for a trip from Hickory NC to Barstow Ca and back, towing a Freightliner tractor both ways, and that was a deal for our customer, especially having to buy trip permits.Re: Not Such Great service!!!Actually it ended up to $4.16 per mile, since tows are calculated to round trip ,mileage as a vast majority of the time they are returning empty and the truck owner has to still pay the driver and pay for the tow truck. Last time I drove a heavy duty tow truck was about 1990. Back then, a large wrecker didn't leave the gate for less than $150, so even back then you would have gotten a good deal. Then add in running air for suspension, pulling something in the drive line, and caging brakes. Had you paid the entire bill, it probably would have been over $800, so you did well and in accordance with the terms that you agreed to. Everyone knows that I am not a fan of GS, and especially the CEO, but I will try to call the balls and strikes fairly. This one was straight down the middle at belt high for GSRA. Now, please excuse me while I disinfect my keyboard.Re: 2017 Thor Freedom Elite 29FE / need opinionsSandy, I don't know where you are, but if anywhere close to Raleigh, go by D&H on 64 between Apex and Jordan Lake. We bought a 2017 Thor Quantum from there, and the coach has been great. It has been back to D&H twice since March 5. Once was for a minor repair that took 30-45 minutes and most of that was waiting for adhesive to dry, and second was to get propane on the way to Jordan Lake. We have shop time at the factory scheduled for the last week in February for what are mostly minor issues and basically cosmetic, but one that I wouldn't want any dealer to try since it is a fabricated piece. We cannot complain at all about our coach, our relationship with D&H, or our relationship with Thor. I don't know what your timetable is, but the Raleigh show is February 23-25. D&H and Campers Inn will be there with the Thor line and Kevin Mullis from Thor will probably be there. Of the two shows last year, there seemed to be much more at the spring show. We may be there mid day Friday before going to Indiana. Take your time and don't stress. Unless you are locked into a train of thought, think about 2 days at the show. One last thought to leave you with. Thor and it's subsidiary brands are about 75-80% of the new RV sales market. Therefore, all things being equal, then they would reasonably be expected to have the same percentage of the complaints. I am a voracious reader, and I not only read the Class C and Thor forums, I also read about every one else's. EVERY maker has complaints and issues, and along every makers lines, entry level units have more complaints than high end models. That even goes for Tiffin and Newmar. Then, more people will take to the internet to complain than will take time to praise. If you have any questions, please feel free to IM me. it may take a few days for me to see it, but I will respond.Re: Phony Good Sam ERS Invoice TinyoneRV wrote: "Marcus has said that he does not desire to have Kelly and me as customers." Huh? You said GS was correct. You had purchased GSRA and the notice you received was not fraud but a misunderstanding. Now Marcus doesn't want you as a customer? Would appreciate a further explanation. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/16/marcus-lemonis-if-youre-ok-with-what-trump-said-dont-shop-at-my-business.html That's why. He hasn't wanted us a customers, and we have obliged.Re: Phony Good Sam ERS InvoiceOkay Y'all, I owe the members of both forums and the Good Sam organization an apology.... Kick me in the butt and call me STOOPID I received a call a short while ago from a perky young lady at Good Sams who identified as Ella. After talking to her, evidently in the rush of starting to buy all the mandatory "stuff" required to be a happy camper in our brand new coach, we did purchase the GSRA plan (at a serious discount). SWMBO and I have looked high and low, hither and yon, and haven't found anything where we bought the plan. I lost track of the memory early on, as roadside assistance was a constant thought as much as a constant topic on the major RV forums. For all I have mislead, I am truly sorry. We have enrolled with Coach-Net for a variety of reasons, mainly because Marcus has said that he does not desire to have Kelly and me as customers.Re: Phony Good Sam ERS InvoiceI have sent a PM to Ella asking her to call me. Considering the window of time it is possible that we went to CW, and I know that we joined them for the clu"b pricing" but I wouldn't have be predisposed to get the roadside at that point. I have sent an IM to get more information about this. this would have been between the time we did the PPW and took delivery. I will update the board after this hallucination manifests a modicum of reality.
