All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Dometic Power Awning Pro Beeping and ClickingThe irony is we had a Mandalay 42 ft DP for 15 years with a Dometic awning and never had a problem. We downsized to the Phoenix Cruiser last year (got a good deal on a gently used 2019 which we really like ) and our only problem has been the awning. It also does not deploy properly which we are told is likely a front strut issue. That strut is now hard to come by and we do not have enough clearance at home to fully deploy it to troubleshoot so likely a job for next Spring. My main concern was whether this constant attempt by the awning to "move"/reseat (the click) could case anything worse. I like your hair dryer suggestion to loosen the cover. Thanks again. I notice there is a pinhole-size opening on one end of the cover and thought it might be some kind of "reset" but instructions do not mention anything about that. I found another owners manual online for the 9100 etc. series ensor receiver and it clearly suggests it is a battery issue. Happy New Year Hank 2019 Phoenix Cruiser Model 3100 2012 Honda CRVDometic Power Awning Pro Beeping and ClickingThe Dometic Power Awning Pro on our 2019 Phoenix Cruiser model 3100 just started beeping and "clicking" with slight movement where the sensor meets the arm up top. It is very cold here (10 dgs last night and getting colder) which makes me reluctant to start trying to open stuff up etc. Awning acts like it wants to move. A couple online posts suggested it was the cold weather. Did not have this issue last winter. If I cannot "fix" it in this cold weather am concerned it could get worse over time. Also saw an older online ref to a separate box down below but the Dometic Customer Service is apparently closed for the holidays. Should I try to open the black sensor box on the awning strut to check the battery and/or the sensor dial? It is really tight (and cold!). Thanks, Hank in cold, snowy and breezy Custer SD 2019 Phoenix Cruiser Model 3100Dometic Power Awning Pro StrutHaving trouble confirming correct strut for our Dometic Power Awning Pro Electric awning series 331655XXX (that might be model for remote control) and/or model 917NS20.100UL/Mfg PNC 958644798 (main awning sticker). Mounted on 2019 Phoenix Cruiser Class B Plus MH. Dometic never answers and MH factory could not help. Existing strut says Stabilus Lift O Mat with codes 025214 0600N 146/18B7. Google and Amazon search unsuccessful. Extended Length appears to be 27 1/2inches/cartridge 15.5 inches but I cannot determine the pounds rating. Replacement needed to properly deploy and retract awning. If you have an idea on suggested pound rating that might be enough to narrow it down for an online order. Any help appreciated. Hank 2019 Phoenix Cruiser Model 3100Re: Hood Cover for Ford E450Ron - Thanks for answer. Guess I will just live with the new dimples. Hank Also on PC Cruiser Forum (as you likely knew). Just posted another head-scratcher.Re: Hood Cover for Ford E450Just got two large squares of "mag vinyl" from my local print shop. They stick to the hood like glue..no tiedowns. I will only put them on when we are expecting bad weather. Cover virtually the whole hood. Not super cheap but easy on/off and I can put in the car to use as well when out and about.Re: Hood Cover for Ford E450Dusty - Good to know that some dings disappeared. We had an E350 Class C from 1992-2003 but never experienced hail (lived in Maryland). Had a 42' DP from 2004-2019 but it had a flat front so no dings. But most of the stuff on the roof of the DP was damaged 7 years ago during a once-in-a-generation hail storm here. Regular covers do not work where we live - a mile high, lots of UV and wind plus strong storms. I will watch the existing dings for "improvement" but will be covering the hood ASAP. Hank Custer, SDRe: Hood Cover for Ford E450A customer on Amazon just suggested using the "mag vinyl" like used for car door signs - wind proof and paint safe. I called my local print shop and can buy a piece/pieces to fit and they are only 1/2 mile from my house. I shall see how it works out before getting moving blankets and/or rubber mats. Thanks for the help. Hank 2019 Phoenix Cruiser 3100 2012 Honda CRV ToadRe: Hood Cover for Ford E450Both are good ideas - Thanks. It occurred to me after posting that I could try a small tarp I have with some type of cushioning underneath to avoid chafing. The problem with getting too creative is we are 50 miles from a metro area with buying options so (in the age of Coronavirus and trying to limit contact with shoppers) we have to make do with we have. I am kind of surprised there is no market for this type product. I know bras get a bad rap for damaging paint if you drive and they move around. FYI I Used to use a swimming pool cover on my previous 29' Class C when we lived in Maryland..but no real wind or UV issues. And I was a lot younger. Worked great. Hank 2019 Phoenix Cruiser 3100 Custer SDHood Cover for Ford E450We just bought a 2019 Phoenix Cruiser on a 2018 Ford E450 chassis. I am looking for a hood cover (not a whole RV cover) for those occasional hailstorms. It has Diamond Shield on part of the hood but the uncoated part of the hood took a couple small dings during a recent moderate hail storm. A full RV cover does not work where we live due to high winds, high UV and high owner's age..:( I have tried Camping World, local Ford dealer and a couple aftermarket places with no success. Does anyone have a suggestion/source? Hank 2019 Phoenix Cruiser Model 3100 Class B Plus
