Oil level good. 440 hours in 2006 year. Thoughts? There is a video on youtube that shows a guy saying that the way he corrected that is to make sure the oil was not up to the top of his Dipstick as his feeling is that the dipstick is not the right size. I tried that and I can tell you that it helped me... When I changed my oil it was always taking more that the "required" two quarts to hit the full line..I now only put in the two quarts...Re: Onan 7000 generator error code 47Thanks for the info...I will copy and save it...Here is the sequence of events...Generator ran fine during trip to the campground, Started and ran fine that nite for several hours, next day ran fine for an hour or so and shut down (no Code). Started up again and ran for another hour or so and shut down (code 47) didn't need it rest of nite. 3rd nite started up fine and ran for couple of hours then shut down (no code). Started up again and ran for hour or so and shutdown (error code 47) Tried starting and wouldn't start (no code). Next day before leaving it started fine and ran for hour or so, then I shut it down. Packed up and MH wouldn't start so had to use the boost power to start, then started generator up (while engine is running and it ran fine on 3 hour trip home...Replace Chassis battery yesterday, and had appt. to have generator checked for end of August, but had it done last Sept and had only used once before this trip...Want to save some money if the chassis battery MAY BE the issue.Onan 7000 generator error code 47This code says in the book that it is an ignition code...My question is this...I had a bad chassis battery...Could this be the cause of the error code...?? thanksRe: Add water to class A while boon docking Bill.Satellite wrote: It seems like it would be a lot easier to fix the siphoning issue! taking it to a shop, they want to pull the tank, etc...not cheap especially when dry camping is not the norm.Re: Add water to class A while boon docking bigred1cav wrote: If you are running out of water in your potable water tank, where are you disposing of your waste water? Ihave always had a siphoning effect while driving down the road, so depending on distance and starting with a full tank, I end up losing anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 tank...so need to fill when we get there and be there for a few days...Re: Add water to class A while boon docking Dutch_12078 wrote: On our current and previous motorhomes, the way to suction fill the water tank is to set the valves just as you would for winterizing from a jug, except set the "City/Fill" valve to "Fill" instead of "City". I will check this out...again..I have done it before years ago...but memory is not as good...:hRe: Add water to class A while boon docking wa8yxm wrote: The suction port (if you have owe) if for pink stuff in the winter.. Often there is no path from the on-board pump to the tank (easily fixed but can cause issues later) Suggest a 2nd pump for the transfer. Several kinds out there or you can just use another RV pump not that expensive. thanks...I will try a small one...as I don't boondockl oftenRe: Add water to class A while boon docking MountainAir05 wrote: Yes it will suck water from a say 5 gal can to your tank. Have done it in the past when we had a tank issue and needed to get water back in the system but no city pressure line. thanks...I will try thisRe: Add water to class A while boon docking gbopp wrote: I didn't realize some RV's had suction ports to draw in water. Don't you have a regular gravity fill where you use a hose to fill the FW tank? That would work with a drill powered pump. Nope...No gravity fill.Add water to class A while boon dockingFor some reason the onboard pump works to transport water inside the coach, but won't when trying to use the suction port to fill the water tank from a non pressurized system. Anything I could check to troubleshoot? I maybe doing it wrong...been known to happen:o Scondly, If I use a portable pump attached to a drill will this fill the tank if set on tank fill on the service panel? Inquiring mind needs to know...thanks
