After dumping at campground get some bags of ice cube before you leave and dump in black tank. As you drive it may help to breakdown the hard stuff. Place plenty of water in tank when storing your unit. Others will also give info from their experience.Re: KOA Virginia BeachHave stayed many times at the Holiday travel Park. Each time we have enjoyed staying there. Many things to do there and see locally. Have read many posts with people not enjoying their stay at the KOA. Where every you stay, enjoy yourself.Take in the local sites and have a good time.Re: Motorhome fire outside of DC this morningWow. Looks like it might have started in the engine compartment.Tow dolly weight questionlet's say a tow dolly has a max carry weight of 3000 lbs. Is that weight of the TOTAL vehicle being towed or of that part which is ON the dolly itself. Always wondered about this.. just curious. Thanks and happy camping.Re: Winterizing Problem - 2003 Journey 36DLOn my draw hose I have a twist valve where it connects to the water pump. Make sure its in the correct(open)position.Re: Roadside Assistance - Progressive vs Coach Net/Good SamThink of roadside assistance is an insurance policy. If you experience a breakdown service will be provided according to the terms of your policy. Some of us will have good experiences while others may not. Look at what each provider covers and their costs. One difference is that Progressive only covers the RV while Coach Net and Good Sam covers all your vehicles under one policy.Re: STINKY SITUATIONIf bowl is still holding water, vent cap may be blocked. HOWEVER, what you might actually be smelling is coming from the grey holding tank. Like at stick house if the P traps are dry/don't have water in them, u get an odor similar to that of the black tank. Fill P traps, vent and see if smell goes away.Re: Dash heater / vent / defrosterGreat explanation FIRE UP. I too am experiencing the same situation.Re: A/C-Heat control on dashThanks all who have responded. Will check out your recommendations.A/C-Heat control on dashGreeting all! Have a 2003 Hurricane 30Q motorhome. When I have the A/C or heat on, the air flows only out the top dash vents(defroster) by the front windows. Regardless if I set to floor, floor/dash etc it will only blow from the top vent. Any ideas to what I should check for?? Much thanks
