I have heard many good things about the Morryde Rubber Pin Box. I am interested to hear more testimonials. My trailers expected GVWR is 13995. Morryde has two sizes of the pin box, one is for up to 14000 and one that is rated for 14001 to 18000. Which one do I choose? I also heard there is a possibility of voiding the frame warranty by installing certain pin boxes. All replies are most appreciated.BedRug with hitchI am anxiously awaiting my new tow vehicle, 2021 Sierra 3500HD SRW LB. I already upgraded the base of my Companion hitch to the puck system. I am interested in the BedRug mat for the bed. Does anyone use a BedRug with their hitch installed? If so, how does it hold up to the elements while towing and the bed is exposed?B&W CompanionI have a Companion from B&W, purchased back in 2012. Is it just me, or does anyone else with this hitch, have to replace the U-bolts/hardware and/or the draw down bolt/aluminum block? I have to replace one or all pieces at least once a season. It is quite a pain in the a$$, due to having to cut the bolts to remove. I love the hitch because of the ability to remove it and have my entire bed when not pulling. I now see there are other brands of hitches that have the same abilities (ie Andersen). B&W has offered to sell me the new and improved base for the Companion that does not have this common problem(s), even at their cost of $300, seems like I should just look into a new hitch like the Andersen (big benefit is the weight of the hitch).AGM upgradeI have a 2012 Coachmen Chaparral. The original battery finally died. Can I upgrade to an AGM battery? Any other changes need to be made? Or is just “Plug N Play”?Recommended MaintenanceI have a 2011 Silverado 3500 SW gasser. I pull a 38’ FW. The truck has 75,000 miles, at least a third of that is towing. The only service I have done on the truck is regular oil changes, suspension/steering lube job, and tire rotations. I believe I need some brake work done, due to recent shaking of the steering wheel. What other services should I start thinking of? I need this truck to last me another minimum 5 years, when I am planning on upgrading the FW. Thank youRe: Help shopping for new fiverUpdate: my short list now includes a Grand Design Reflection 29RS.....just have to find one locally to see in personRe: Help shopping for new fiverthank you to all who have replied. I have a lot of research to do this winter. I have another question to ask to any of you that might still follow this post....I was camping this past weekend and saw a Jayco Eagle fiver in the campground...any thoughts or opinions on Jayco?Help shopping for new fiverI am in need of some assistance. I am shopping for a new fiver. Ideally I would like to keep the overall length somewhere between 25-34 feet. I do not want bunks. Weight is not an issue, would prefer high quality versus lightweight. The wife and I went to an RV show this past weekend and saw a lot of trailers, they were either lightweight versions or big 40+’ . I am replacing a 38’ Coachmen Chaparral front bunkhouse, it has has served us well, but now that the kids are grown, looking to downsize a bit. ThxRe: Bicycle carrier front of truck or pin box. (Updated W/pics) I went another way - the roof rackRe: Over night stopsWe spent the last two summers driving all over the West. We had many overnight stops. We generally would drive about 400-500 miles a day. We were able to predict where we would be at a certain time for our stop. So the wife would look on the internet for campgrounds in the area that were easy on, easy off the freeway. We were able to find great campgrounds every time. We never unhooked, always found large pull thrus. The prices generally were under $35 for full hookups. We thought that the price was well worth it compared to staying at WallyWorlds. Most of the time, the campgrounds also had decent swimming pools, which made for a refreshing end to a long day on the road. Good luck and happy trails.
