Toured the NE states in summer of 2016 and rode the Cog to the top of Mt. Washington, highly under dressed for the weather at the top. Did some research and found that the only other COG still operating in the states was at Pike's Peak. So summer of 2017 we set off across the country from SC to Cali and back. Got to ride the PP COG exactly 1 year apart. Only difference was the PP COG had front and rear facing seats, and of course got stuck facing downhill for 3 hours. There was no mention of that when you purchase tickets online and they choose your seats to make sure each car was at capacity. Another factor some may be missing is each of our 3 phones is only $15 a month currently, plus the 24 month payment plan amount on each. The new plans raise the individual phone fee to $20 a month. Due to a bridge deck rehab project, I-20 westbound at the 117 mile marker is reduced to only the left lane and is limiting widths of no more than 10 feet wide loads. This has been creating a 4 to 5 mile backup all week with detours in place. Next Monday it is advised to not use this route if your travel plans can be altered.893Views0likes1CommentQuick sale
Haven't moved the 5th wheel in 4 years from it's perch in backyard. Kids are grown now, got a divorce and kept the camper. Only used it to store my tent camping equipment. Decided to put a feeler ad for it on craigslist and while taking pictures found some water damage on rear wall in bunk room. So I priced it pretty low for an originally 33.5k 5th wheel in 2005. I really did not expect the frenzy it would create. Sold it last Friday after only a week for asking price. Backyard looks so weird without a camper in it after 18 years (2 with TT and 16 with 5vr). Haven't decided on continuing to tent camp or maybe a pop up. Like the concept of the Sylvansport Go, but not the prices...
