Can anyone recommend a campground that is on a lake for kayaking, but close enough (a few miles) to bike to a town? We don't tow a car so like to be able to bike to shops and restaurants.Any Hurricane owners out there? We are considering a purchase of a 2007 Four Winds Hurricane 34N. Any thoughts?Re: Looking for a Class A with one slideYou've all given me some good food for thought. Maybe having the bedroom accessible with the slide in is not as big of deal as I thought. Certainly has been limiting the buyer pool for us!Looking for a Class A with one slideWe are looking to purchase a new-to-us Class A and have looked at several. While we like the added room you get with slide outs, it's frustrating that having the bedroom slide means you can't get around the bed while the slide is in. I don't think we care about extra room in the bedroom. Can anyone recommend a smaller Class A (30-34 feet) that DOESN'T have a bedroom slide, or would allow you to walk around the bed with the slide in? We're looking to spend around 40k.Ark encounter?Anyone been to this in Williamstown, KY? How much time should we allow?Re: Lake Erie / Kelly's IslandWe camped at the Cedar Point campground with our kids when they were school-age. Loved Cedar Point amusement park! Great roller coasters. The campground was wonderful but pricey.Re: tray for eating?Original poster here. No need to continue the discussion. You know, people don't need to post to this forum to find information. We have Google and Siri for that. I like to post questions here because it's fun to discuss rv'ing with like-minded people. But it appears maybe not as like-minded as I thought. No need for any more disagreements. I will go elsewhere for info.tray for eating? My husband likes to eat while he is driving, and our center console is too far away from the driver's seat and too small to conveniently hold dinner. Does anyone know of any type of tray that would attach to the driver door, or steering wheel (which doesn't sound very safe!) or extend from the floor to make eating while driving more convenient? And yes, I do tell him that it would be more civilized if we stopped and enjoyed a leisurely meal at a rest stop...to no avail!Re: Is there any campground like Tom Sawyer farther North? There is a city campground right on the Mississippi River in Canton, Missouri where you can watch the barges.Re: Spring break with kidsThis year we are going to James Island County Park, Charleston South Carolina in March. I have never been there so am not speaking from experience but on paper it looks like it might be great for your family.
