Ford F-53 V-10 with a 5R110W 5 Speed Trans. Filter(s)
I have a 2014 Winnebago Sightseer with the Ford F-53 V-10 with a 5R110W 5 Speed Auto Trans. I want to change the Transmission oil and filter, but I am getting conflicting information. I think the filter is the FT-180 Motorcraft Trans filter. Now the parts.ford.com site says there is a second in line filter on the F-53 stripped chassis the Ft-185 filter. I cannot find that filter anywhere on my coach. Does anyone know for sure it is there and if Yes, where it is??1.9KViews0likes5CommentsNew 50 Amp Plug
I have a Surge Guard Model 34750 which I have used successfully for a few years now, with no issues. My son had an electrician install a new fifty amp plug such that we can come a visit our new grandson. I plugged the 34750 unit in a it did its countdown and gave me the green light and correct voltage. My concern is it makes a HUMM noise that I have never noticed before. I have not plugged the RV in yet just a test run with the 34750 unit. Is there a problem? I am looking to purchase a 1999-2005 Suzuki Grand Vitara or Tracker, basically the same car. Does anyone know when you are flat towing, does this model put miles on the odometer? I had a 1995 Sidekick and it did add miles when towing. The newer Vitara has a electronic odometer, not mechanical. I was told it makes a difference Looking for someone with experience here. My buddy did the Banks intake and exhaust system on his 2003 V-10. Had a put a the dyno-meter before and after. He got HALF of what Banks said he would. Lots of money and time for half the power. We picked up our Sightseer 33C in July 2014 and yes it is a very good coach. I spent time researching the Cheap Handling Fix and then did it, works great. Also, did a rear stabilizer bar and Sumo Springs. Really like the Sumo Springs for the inner city freeways, we have to drive through Los Angeles when we go north and the freeway are really ruff. New kitchen faucet and better lights in the closet. Turned our IPad into a GPS/map system and mounted it under the radio. I installed GPS co-pilot with the map file for 10 bucks. Ok thanks to Nevadanick For finding the Dunesport Firestorm Mini has a 5200 lb axle with 50 Fresh/Gray and Black tanks. And over 2500 lbs of payload capacity. Not bad at all. I contacted Dunesport and the can build it in a 14 foot unit. Price starts about $10K. Pictures if you are interested. The wife was surprised with no wet bath. When it comes to Toy Hauler info, this is the best place to get it !!! I am looking to purchase used, but could be new, 5000 GVWR toy hauler. We have a V6 SUV with 5K tow capacity and would like to get a Trailer. It is easy to find 3500 or 7000 GVWR, but I have not been able to find something in-between. We have two quads and maybe 500-600 extra camping gear/water. So, if it 3000 lbs to start and then add 1500 lbs, it is 4500 lbs plus. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks6.2KViews0likes22Comments
