If there is a small leak in your water supply or drains, the moisture may have been soaked up by your insulation and mould may have formed there. Our issue was under the shower in the undercarriage after a drain pipe had cracked. Good luck.Re: Water leak, we cannot find.Water will always migrate to the lowest point however the route it takes to get there is often unexpected. Remove the shower pan access panel and while someone is moving around in the shower with the water running, shine a light into the cavity or if you can reach the drain pipe with your hand, look for moisture. It’s an easy one to confirm or check off the list. Good luck. I know how frustrating looking for the source of a water leak is.Re: Jerem Bought a new truck!Nice looking truck!! I have an integrated step in my F150 and love it. Use it all the time. The older my knees get the less I want to jump off the tailgate. :-) Make sure to always tow in tow mode so you don’t overwork the engine. Have fun!!Re: Oil changes with syntheticSounds like you’ve already made up your mind and are just looking for validation. Oil viscosity begins to reduce the minute it’s manufactured. Here’s a comment from the McNally Institute: Oil that has not been changed for a long time will begin to gel or solidify in an engine, eventually turning into sludge once it has been exposed to the environment. This will result in oil starvation in crankshafts, bearings, camshafts, and other valve train components if the oil is not able to reach all parts of the engine. Others have said to go by the manufacturers recommendations, which is also good advice. At the end of the day you can ignore all these comments and do whatever you want because it’s your vehicle and you are the one who has to drive and repair or replace it. Most of us who replace our oil more frequently due so as preventative maintenance because we want our vehicles to last longer without mechanical issues, but you do you. Good luck.Re: Water leak, we cannot find.My guess is that you have a cracked drain in your shower that only leaks when under strain from the floor flexing while you are standing in the shower with the water running. Try having someone walking around in the shower while the water is on and see if you see leaking below. We’ve had 2 trailers with that exact problem.Re: Sliding Glass Door Lock nickthehunter wrote: Most people just put a tight fitting wooden dowel in the track at the bottom. Stops the door from being able to slide. As MFL mentioned, I’m looking for a better entry lock so I can secure the door better when I’m not at the trailer.Sliding Glass Door LockHas anyone replaced or added an additional entry lock on their sliding glass doors? Just purchased a 2022 Jay Flight 34RSBS and the lock on the sliding glass doors seams a little flimsy. I’ve been looking online but all the locks are to secure the door once you’re inside and I’m looking for a better lock for when I’m not there. Any suggestions?Re: No good deed goes unpunishedI always help friends and strangers when I can. Life is better when we can lift up those around us.Re: My new rideCongratulations on the new ride. I have the 2020 Lariat with the 3.5 ecoboost and tow an 8K lb trailer without issue. Very comfortable ride with and without the trailer. You’ll love it. Enjoy!!Re: BittersweetSorry to hear about your wife’s arthritis. I’ve lived with it for many years and tried just about everything. I’m now using Biofreeze and it gives me the most relief. Might be worth giving it a try. Good luck with finding a trailer that will work for you both and I hope your wife finds some relief.
