All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsPOP RVsAnyone have any experience with POP RVs? We are selling our Winnebago and it listed in several places. I received an email from POP RVs asking if I would like them to advertise and sell it for me. They add 10% to the asking price and I pay nothing. If I sell it on my own then receive nothing and I pay nothing to them. Thanks, Sgt7702 Adventurer Headlight RemovalHi everyone, I have a burned out headlight on my Adventurer. How do you remove the bulbs for replacement? Thanks in advance,Re: AC Repair Camping World or LazydaysJust a quick update. The problem was not the generator but a leak in my AC unit. I called a couple of different places and after getting lukewarm responses I dropped her off at Lazy Days last week and they are working it. Thanks for all your suggestions.Re: AC Repair Camping World or LazydaysThat may be the problem. I went ahead and set the appointment for LD and the earliest they could get me in is 9/10. So I will do some checking and check for leaks.AC Repair Camping World or LazydaysI need some opinions to digest. The basement AC on my 02 Winnebago Adventurer is losing coolness. The fan and compressors are kicking in so I figure I have a leak and the freon is going. I have found only two places here in the Tampa Bay area that will work on it and they are Lazydays and Camping World. I have had work done at LD and their labor is high, but their work is good. I am not sure about the quality of work from CW. What do you think or have experienced?Re: domestic fridgeBest decision you can make. We have had both a Dontgetcoldmetic and most recently a NoCold in our current RV. I pulled the Nocold out and replaced it with a Haier purchased at Lowes that fit perfectly in the old fridge spot. We were not looking for a fridge with all the bells and whistles just one that keeps your food cold and has a freezer where ice cream actually stays cold. The hardest part of tearing out the Nocold since it was firmly in place with glue and foam. New fridge came through the door with the fridge doors taken off easy peasy Saved myself a pile of money doing it myself rather than having a dealership do it. Just remember, measure once, twice, and then measure again to make sure.Re: My family thinks we've lost our minds charming wrote: Not everyone's family is understanding and thinks this RV'ing thing is a great idea. My sister is one of those who think DH and I are to use technical terms - NUTS! (Personally, I think if we move up to a 5 wheel in a few years with more bells and whistles, she might have a change of mind.) DH's kids, one of whom loves to camp and rough it, thinks its great for us. His sister at least pretends its a good thing. How did your family react when you took the plunge, especially later in life like us? We look at it this way. You can pick your friends but not your family. I do not tell them how to run their lives and I expect the same in return. The bottom line, we could care less what they think about our RV lifestyle.Re: House Batteries smkettner wrote: The debate has been long and often. Are there specific concerns you have with the change? Not really specific concerns. I often read that 6v is better than 12v, but like most things it seems to be very subjective.House BatteriesWise ones, I am looking at the advantages or disadvantages of replacing my two 12v house batteries with 6v. I have seen several posts which mention the change over, but not really have seen a good explanation of why. Our coach is an 02 Winnebago Adventurer 35U.Re: Residential RefrigeratorI have also decided to dump the No-Cold and install a residential reefer. I have been doing some research and found several sites with pics and videos of the swap outs and I believe that I will be doing it myself. Getting the No-Cold out should not be much of a task and then getting all the measurements to find a fridge that will get through the door and into the slot without too much if any modification. Since we do not feel we need one of the giant fridges with all the wiz-bang toys we have found several that will fit through the door. Not to mention that an apartment size will be much easier to man handle.
