I kind of think that the wire wiggles within the plug, and the tubing should make it a more solid connection. Think I will also wind tape around the cord and the handle to keep the strain off it.Re: carryout power cordThe attachment to the antenna is the part that fails and I'm told it is a proprietary part. It seems to tear loose from the connection.carryout power cordWe have a 3 year old winegard carryout and just ordered our 3rd power cord - is there any alternative for the blankety blank plug that just ceases to work?Re: Winegard Carryout Power CableNot to hijack this thread, but there also is a problem on the cigarette lighter end of the cord. Mine broke. Can I cut the wires and splice one of these: roadpro 12v fused replacement cigarette lighter plug in place of the broken one.Re: steamboat to Trappers lake, coloradoThanks, just cannot imagine 55 miles of gravel with a trailer.steamboat to Trappers lake, coloradoDoes anybody know if there is a paved road to pull a trailer over the Flattops without going to Meeker and back?Re: internet providersThanks for all the optionsinternet providersIs there anything like a Verizon Jetpack available out there from other providers? I am going to a place that has only AT&T service. Can you get Hughesnet on a temporary basis? Anything that I am missing?automatic generator startup?I'm just curious, as the MH in question has left, but wondered if anyone could satisfy my curiosity? The MH parked next to our bed made a noise several times a night, not just horrible, but annoying, and it seemed to be coming from a compartment with 2 small exhaust hoses coming out of it. Does a typical MH with a generator start up periodically to keep the batteries charged?Re: am I expecting too much? Thanks for all the ideas, first thing I will measure the output and see if it is at least 16 degrees cooler than the ambient air in the coach. I am parked in the shade now, with a pillow in the fantastic fan vent and getting 11.5 degrees cooler - every little bit helps. I just have to keep it cool from the morning.
