Gaco silicon roofing vs liquid rubber roof and eterna bond
Hello travelers. I have an older 1999 Thor trailer. A tree branch hit the roof, and took off part of the roofing. Everyone said we should use Gaco, a silicon based product. But it doesn't seem to be working very well. I am wondering if I can apply liquid rubber roof over the Gaco silicon, or will I need to remove it first? I am not exactly sure what the roof is made of, or even what the diffrences are. Also, I am thinking we should eterna bond patch the hole, can I apply this over the Gaco? If I can not remove the Gaco, and the liquid rubber will not bond, should I use the Gaco tape and more Gaco? Also will Dicor sillant still work with the gaco? I will try to figure out what the roof is made of, but I think it is fiber glass, as the sidings are! Thank you for any expertise!1.3KViews0likes1CommentR-vision trailers??
Hello everyone in RV world. I am looking at an R-Vision 200s 2104. I have heard good things and not so good things. I was wondering about the quality, particularly the structure quality. I really don't want big leaks down the road. The thing is I really like the floor plan, the price is really great, and I am pretty sure I can tow it with my Nissan Frontier since it weighs about 3800lbs dry. So, I would have to have a light weight trailer anyway. I do know the company went out of business. Too bad. Not a lot of cheaper light weight trailers around with walk around beds and a dinette. If I do decide to purchase, are there things I can do to keep it from leaking on me? I live in the Redwoods, so we do experience a lot of rain. Hello! I would really like to purchase a r vision 23rbs trail light travel trailer. It has a 23 ft box and 27 ft from bumper to bumper. I have a 2010 nissan crew cab 6 cylinder frontier. It can tow 6100 pounds. I think the pay load is 1116 or so. The wheel base is 126. I know I can tow 24 ft with my wheel base, but, I would like to know if I can tow safely 27 ft. I do not think weight is an issue, the trailer only weighs 4000 dry. We have a 1998 dodge diesel, however our nissan is in much better condition, and has way better stearing. I plan on ditching the micro wave and maybe the furnace because I would rather have a catalytic heater. So that will take a few pounds off not shure how many. Is there any way to counter the sway. I am pretty stuck on this trailer. Luv the floor plan but.. Don't want to stress thing too much. The shorter trailers are not as comfy. But I do want to safe. The box is only 23 ft, and it is about 27 ft with the hitch and everything. I am not too concerned with the weight, but more the length. Although I will find out the axle weight. Hello. I have a 2010 v6 nissan frontier crew cab with a brake controller. I am very interested in the r vision 23. Tottal length 26.7ft and dry weight axle weight of 3880. It is rated to pull 6100lb. Is it safe to pull this trailer with this vehicle? I intended on taking it to the California coast at times through some steep and windy terrain. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
