LOLRe: King pin lockParking it at home, no worries to lock it up. A 115 lb. German Shepard has that job. In a RV park or camp site, no worries. To much stuff to do to get it ready to roll. They may take a bike, BBQ, chair but that's about it. I've always been more worried about locking the hitch in the truck when at long weekend events like Nascar where you have to go park you truck in a lot for 4-5 days,Re: "Waxing" a fifth wheel camperI was sick of paying a detailer $400 bucks to do mine. I just purchase a deionizer system from RV-Mods and a nice foam gun and wash/wax products from Chemical Guys. I pre rinse with my pressure with regular water, hook up my foam gun to my pressure washer and go at it. Then use a wash mop on a pole. Once I get a side done I hook up the deionizer system to the pressure washer and rinse off the soap. Very little drying needed and minimum spots. Best washing system I've ever used.Ram 2021 3500 DRW Bed Height for 5th Wheel ?Anybody have a 2021 3500 DRW Ram with a 5th wheel ? Pretty high bed rails on this truck sitting stock. I had a hard time getting under my last 2017 F350 DRW. Once it was connected and weight was on it I had 7" space. I'm more worried about getting under it to even get hitched up. No air bags on this truck.Re: Pullrite Super 5th VS B & W CompanionWell I ended up buying the B & W Companion 25K. I got it from Tweetys. Love those guys. Installing it was a little frustrating. One of the Cam lock bolt nuts locked up and it wouldn't move with a 1 inch air wrench. I ended up cutting it off with a grinder. I think the bottom of the nut threads and the top section where the carter pin go's were out of sync. Strangest thing I've ever seen. I called them direct and got a young girl that had it going on. She knew exactly what I needed. She did admit it has happened before, so no big deal they are sending all the parts for one corner, (looking from tailgate- top right) she asked this corner specifically. No harm no foul, I get it by Monday. Now my next problem is getting it setup in this 2021 Ram 3500 DRW. Hitch head position and angle ??? These bed rails are HIGH. I'm sure it will squat. but how much ? I'll get it figured out. Pic's to follow in time.Re: Pullrite Super 5th VS B & W Companion camp-n-family wrote: Small side note. You didn’t buy a Dodge, they stopped building trucks in 2008. Dodge builds small suvs and mini vans. Ram builds trucks. You bought a Ram. I stand corrected. Hence the big "RAM" on the front hood. :) Just hard to break some habits.Re: This weekend Change Clocks dedmiston wrote: One of my buddies fro high school has been preaching for years that we should just move the clocks 30 minutes once and never discuss it again. I'll never have to worry about that again. Moved out of Cali 6 months ago to AZ. And didn't Cali vote it in to do away with the time change like a few years ago? What happen to that? Must be a Newsome thing.Pullrite Super 5th VS B & W CompanionI'm a few days away from picking up our 2021 Dodge 5th wheel prep dually. That being said. I'm a huge fan of Pullrite hitch's. I've had 4 of them over the last 15 years. The bad part is the hitch I want/need is like out of stock everywhere from AZ to Ca. I've search the internet as well. So I'm looking at the B & W Companion 25K and It's a nice looking hitch and has great reviews. I just really like the auto hitch locking system Pullrite has. It's a no brainer. Back into it, when it slams shut your good to go. I don't think I want to carry around a ladder to climb over the dually fender to latch it up, drop in the pin, put on the locking clip. reverse when unhooking...etc. Not trying to start a war here. Is it that big a deal? I'm spoiled with how the Pullrite works, but willing to switch If I have too.Re: Weighing Fifth Wheel at CAT Scale with Weigh My Truck AppDid I read that right, that your 2018 Dodge 3500 DRW weight is almost 10,500 lbs ? I'm not sure, but I'm thinking my 2017 F-350 is 8500 +/-. Why so much ? Interweb says that thing should be 7000lb ish Must need to deduct Pin.Re: Looking For a Second 5th WheelI don't know anything about Keystone or Jayco. I've owned 2 KZ units and very happy with both, minor items but not a big deal. A friend has a G.D. and he's very happy with it as well. For what it's worth I saw that 386FLF at the Cal. Speedway RV show a few months back. Very nice rig."BIG". Better have a big truck to pull it. Pricing seem about what they were asking on signs, I bet you can get them in the high mid $60's. Good luck. It's only money.
