It turns out that the people that know ALL about Rear Cameras, Side Cameras and the required Monitors are just down the road from you. I have called them before and they are great. You can look at their web site (it is a little complex) and give them a call. Tim has forgotten more about this stuff than I'll ever learn. They are just excellent. It turns out that wiring is a bigger part of the puzzle than the big hardware. RV Cams, Inc (225) 261-9946 www.rvcams.com/ Tim and Anita Lazaroe 8889 Sullivan Road Suite C Baton Rouge, LA 70818 I am working on rebuilding my cameras & monitors, so if you have any questions, send me a PM. Good Luck DickRe: Foot valve for shower? The one Wizard suggested is for controlling Air. I think the one the OP is looking for is found under "foot pedal water valve" on Yahoo. There are lots of them for water for about $20. Great question! Why didn't I think of that? DickRe: Towing a Ford FiestaWe just completed a 2500 mile trip first-time towing a 2016 Ford Fiesta, SE Hatchback w/ AT. As shown below, we have a 2008 Fleetwood Discovery 40X DP. The Tow System is Blue Ox Car setup and Alpha Tow bar package. I also purchased a Battery charger. I was lucky enough to find a Fiesta with SYNC 3 and the Navigation package. We drive around strange towns like locals. We drove about 700 miles through serious mountains and never noticed any negative issues and the mileage was decreased by about 0.1MPG. We loved it. We did initially have some issues with the Fiesta transmission, but your Ford dealer (or any Ford Dealer) can help you with that. After some initial problems, we got it all figured out and now we can hook-up/un-hook in about 20 minutes each. Good Luck, Dick & MaryOld Sony Camera WiringI'm doing some work to modernize my camera monitors and I need the pin-outs for the old mini-DIN-6 wiring system that SONY used. So far all the cameras work so I am reluctant to replace the wiring at this point; just the monitors. If anyone could direct me to the pin-outs I would appreciate it. Thanks DickRe: Dish network with Trac vision roof mouted dish.Last August after using our KVH-R5SL/Dish Satellite 211k system for a week while we had service in Decatur, IN, I noticed a note on the system saying that I needed to update my Dish 211k Receiver to the new software. If I didn't, the sky would fall and it would be the end of civilization as I knew it! Being the early adapter that I am, I did it and BOOM ... dead KVH antenna! I spent almost 4 hours on the cell phone fighting with Dish Tech support, but they couldn't, or wouldn't reset my receiver back to the working software. Now it's November, and we find out "the rest of the story". It seems that Dish reconfigured the transmitters on their satellites, thereby rendering many old antennas and control boards unable to locate and lock on to the satellite. KVH R4SL and R5SL Antennas were effected, along with other older antennas and lots of yacht equipment and 18-wheeler stuff too. They now refer to them as legacy antennas. (There are references and links to this sad tale all over the Net) But, don't feel to bad for KVH...they knew it was comming for years! Their two latest Satellite antennas for RV's, the RV-1 and the A-9 are equipped with a different RF control board. The RF7. I hear it works great. (I assume RF stands for "radio frequency") I guess it is up to us "legacy" owners to pound the new RF7 board out of KVH or our RV-Builders unless we want to spend $1,200 to $3,500 (plus installation) for a new antenna. They came from Simple Tires at Simpletires.com. They are Hankooks, AH12, and I guess all tires come from China. Way cheaper than GoodYear or Michelin. But be careful comparing prices because all SimpleTires sell is tires and shipping. Other companies, such as Autonation & World-of-Tires sell a whole deal with a local installer. All shipping is the same, all taxes are the same. It's the other stuff where the games start. By the way, SimpleTires is just north of Philly, about 2 blks off the Interstate.Re: Core Value of Old TiresThanks for the response. The tires are due to arrive on Monday the 27th and as soon as I get them on, it's on to Craig's List. By the way, the company was Simple Tire. Ask for John; did a good job for me. But make sure you price all the options: Tires + shipping + install + balance. Some companies bundle it all together and some sell just tires.Core Value of Old TiresI'm finally putting new tires on my MH and I used one of those "Tires by Mail" places to order them. (They were cheaper even with shipping!) Now, the question is how to dispose of the old tires. I understand that I can sell the old tires for a "Core Value". Where can I sell them? Who does this kind of business? The tires are GoodYear G670 RV tires, 275/70R22.5 with a build date of Feb 2008. That's 90 months old, 7½ Years old. The question seems to be, can they be recapped for commercial tires? Any thoughts? Any Ideas? Thanks, DickRe: Flexible CoaxThanks for the info folks, I guess that my MH just came with the cheap cable. Special thanks to wa8yxm (John). I have been beating my head looking for the name of that store. Thanks for the help. DickFlexible CoaxDoes anyone know of a brand of RG-6 Coax that is highly flexible? The one I've got now gets very stiff below about 50 deg F. It gets very upset with me if I try to uncoil it. I tried uncoiling it and laying it out in the sun, but as soon as it cooled down, I had a 25ft stick! Thanks, Dick
