Crate or no crate? We bought a large size dog crate, it is soft sided with bars that are spring loaded that keep it in shape. It fits nicely into the back seat of our pickup and our two cats travel nicely inside it together. We have noticed that one of them doesn't like windy bumpy roads and gets car sick. Went to the Vet and got some cat sized carsick pills give him one and he is lights out for most of our trips. They do wake up when we stop anytime and we make sure we limit our travelling to stops at least every 2 hours. It gives them a chance to take a break as well as me. They might get a little noisy but usually settle down when they realize they are not going to the Vets. I also made some minor mods to our TT so they can use the litter box in one of the storage areas that we have outside access to. It is the one that goes completely across the front of our TT and is partially under the bed. I made a whole in the panelling the size of an average cat door. One of our cats is a little skidish so often uses it as a hiding place when company arrives. I also divide the space so it keeps the litter contained to a small area as the youngest cat is a real digger. I wish you good luck and happy trails.Re: Back Up CameraThanks for all the replies definitely gave me some new insight. And thanks for the pictures as someone so aptly said a picture is worth a thousand words. Many thanks all!Back Up CameraI was given a Wireless back up camera as a gift and I know it is going to be a help when hitching up my TT. What I want to find out is there anyone out there that uses it on the back of their trailer to assist in backing it up when you get to the park. I have plans to make it so it can be moved between the back of the truck and the back of the trailer.Re: AirstreamsDon't worry, your truck will pull that 23' Airstream without any problems. I tow a 24' Cougar with my 2003 Dodge 4.7 litre and although some the big hills are a little slower than others for the most part I can stay with the flow of traffic. Couple things you can check is it a factory or aftermarket Trans cooler, and make sure your Anti-freeze level meets the factory minimum to avoid overheating. Other than this enjoy your new trailer when you get it.Re: Decal free trailers - photos? - alternatives? The paint shop idea or a graphics shop that does decals. One of my buddies has an 8 year old class A that was rear ended by a dump truck, after the local dealer and body shop got everything back together they left the back blank. He took it to a Graphics shop and they took one of their pictures of Old Faithful and blue it up and put it on the back (it is a decal). The Graphics shop guaranteed it would last 25 years.Re: no power in my trailerCheck where your power comes from the tow vehicle via your umbilical cord, where it splits off and runs to the batteries there are two or three heat sink connectors there that maybe tripped. Just simply push them back into their holders and you should hear a click sound if they need to be reset. This may resolve your issue, and I speak from experience this past long weekend.Re: Cougar differences questionWestcoast and Eastcoast travel trailers 1/2 ton series versus X-lite.Re: Need HelpDepending on make and model most trailers do have battery connect switch but if your doesn't I would definitely start at the battery and work my way back. what happens when you plug into your tow vehicle.Re: New trailer - WeightYou may not have enough tension on your chains you might want to try 4 or 5 to see if the weight on your front end changes.Re: You MIGHT be an RV'r if . . .If you remember city and town names because they have a Wal-Mart that lets you spend the night!
