Thanks again for all the commentsSurge protectorHello everyone. I am looking for some information about surge protectors. I am looking to possibly buy one that plugs into the shore power outside. I haven’t ever had one in the past, but the guy that did our walk through suggested it, so I thought I would check it out. I am looking for information about which are the best ones and if I really need one. As always thank you for all your comments.New tires for my tvI need to get some new tires for my 2011 Ram 2500. I currently have Michelin LTX A/T 2s. 265/70 R17 Load range E. These worked pretty well for me, but I was wondering if anyone has another suggestion. Thanks in advance for all the advice.Re: Battery questionThe battery had an 84% charge earlier when I posted. I took it inside and put it on my battery charger to check to make sure that it was charged. When I hokkup the battery back up to the camper do I check the battery at the terminal?Re: Battery questionIf I have a good battery, but a bad converter will the battery work the lights and pump. Or does the the battery power also need the converter. The reason I am asking is that I am trying to winterize the camper. I need the pump to run so that I can get the antifreeze pumped into the lines.Re: Battery questionNumber 1 thank you to everyone that took time to give me some advice on this issue. Here is where we are at this moment. The battery that I have is a deep cycle 24DCM, 525 MCA, and 140 RC. I am plugged into shore power. When plugged in the only thing that is working is the microwave which is plugged into a 110v plug. I plugged a lamp into the plugs in the camper and they all worked. At this point I am thinking I have a converter issue. The converter is a WFCO 3-Stage Converter Model: WF-8955AN W/plastic. I need some direction on what and how to check the converter to see if it needs to be replaced. I do not have much experience with electrical so any help is much appreciated.Battery questionThis may be a stupid question, but here we go. If I have a battery that doesn't charge, would that stop the lights in my camper from working. Thanks in advance for the help.Re: air condtioner/thermostat isueThe thermostat that I have is a Duo-Therm model # 3107541. And the air conditioner is a Duo-Therm model # 57915.009. they are made by DometicRe: New Trailer RecommendationI would not suggest either the Flagstaff or Rockwood as they are pretty much the same trailers with slight differences in appearance. They are not built very well at all and mine has not held up well at all. I will not be buying another.air condtioner/thermostat isueThe thermostat in my camper isn't working right. You have to turn the temperature to 85 to get the air to come on. Then after it runs for a while and it is clearly cooler than 85 you have to turn down the thermostat down just a little and then it turns off. I believe that the thermostat needs to be replaced. But the other thing that is happening is that sometimes after the air is running for a while it pops the breaker. Is this being caused by the thermostat issue or is there a separate issue with the air conditioner? Thank you in advance for any help that you can give me.
