The warmer the water the better! We'd also like to hear of places that not only have full hook-up RV spaces but places that also have rental units like mini cabins, etc. within them in case our non-RV friends wanted to join us. We've stayed on the Russian and Sacramento Rivers and enjoyed them both. Anybody want to share their favorite spots? JohnRe: Prevost chassis owners.... need opinions. dons2346 wrote: I have seen an Outlaw coach, they are very nice. Not the whore house glass and mirror stuff x2 :B Never owned a Prevost anything and with most certainty never will but in the world of diesels it's not the HP you need to worry about, it's all about torque. JohnRe: Wiper blade replacement on '08 Bounder Blaster Man wrote: On my coach, I replaced the blades only, and tossed all the rest of the hardware that came with them...arms, screws, hooks, etc. I thought about that too but the new ones are a different type of rubber blade that doesn't come out of the frame. I've got them mounted now and used a small spacer between the arm bracket and new blades and it should be fine. I'll keep looking and I kept the adapters in case I find the "right way" to install them. JohnRe: Wiper blade replacement on '08 BounderI removed all of the supplied adapters and the original arm "head" will attach to the new wiper but it doesn't look right to me - it's a little sloppy. :( I'm sure it'll work okay but it just doesn't look right to me. If nothing else I'll look around and talk with others this next week while we're camping. I'll just bring the adapters along for the ride and maybe I'll find a use for them! :W If someone has had this issue before I'll be around and checking back until the weekend. :-) Thanks! JohnWiper blade replacement on '08 BounderThis might be the dumbest question of the day but I'm trying to replace the wipers on our '08 Bounder and cannot figure out how to do it. Yes, I've replaced countless wiper blades over my life and even before you just pulled off the entire arm like they do now. I bought a set of Trico blades at Camping World and they came with three types of attachments for the blades. For the life of me I cannot see how any would work on my rig. Mine are attached by two small screws but none of the three attachment's have this type of deal. Do I remove/replace this part with another type supplied with the blades or am I still off base here? JohnRe: "Sirius" radio problem, 2008 BounderThanks, all! I'll be looking under the dash and firewall to find the box and check all that out next week. It sounds like the external box, if there is one might be what's going on. I know the system we had in our last truck had an external XM receiver like you're describing and sometimes it would fail and/or need rebooting but even then it would show up on the radio display but I guess this system is different. Thanks again! JohnRe: "Sirius" radio problem, 2008 BounderLet me try this again. I currently have XM in two vehicles, and have had it in other cars and trucks for several years so I understand how it all works. My only problem is this particular radio. On every other receiver we've owned the XM broadcast would come on but only their commercial "overview" broadcast, no regular programming. Once you call and activate your new radio they send a signal to it and you're on your way. On this radio I can't get ANY satellite signal, it's like the radio itself is not XM/Sirius equipped but in fact it was, or was. I'm not looking for Pandora or a new CD collection, I just want my XM to work. If somebody has had this issue, and I can't believe nobody else has, can you please describe what I might look for? Thank you! JohnRe: Anyone towing Buick Enclave with Gas V10 Class A?We had the same question about towing our GMC Acadia behind our new to us '08 Bounder V10 and were told by several that we would be fine. In fact the previous owner towed a Dodge Durango behind it and said he had no trouble towing all over the western states where we are. I'm getting my tow bar mounts installed in a couple weeks so I'll find out soon enough myself! JohnRe: "Sirius" radio problem, 2008 Bounder norwestie wrote: Terryallan wrote: Hey guys. You can search all you want. But unless you are a PAYING customer. You can't listen to Sirius. It skps past. Not true. Both Sirius and XM have promo channels that advertise the programming that is offered. Once the receiver is activated, the other channels will be available. Exactly right, we've had XM (which is now Sirius/XM) for years now and the radios will pick-up a broadcast commercial until you activate. The radio itself should also be able to display a code of some sort used to activate the subscription. As I said, the radio once had Sirius working and the owner said it just let it lapse. I'm trying to figure out what might have went wrong or am I missing something else? We like being about to listen to our choice of music or weather and traffic info anywhere in the country regardless if we're within radio range. It's a really nice system if you've ever had it. John"Sirius" radio problem, 2008 BounderWe just purchased a 2008 Bounder with the factory optional Sirius radio. The radio faceplate actually says "Sirius Radio" so we know it is equipped with it and the previous owner says it worked at one time. We can't seem to find that satellite band on the receiver. We have the owners manual as well and have done what the instructions tell you to get it but it skips by any kind of satellite band when going through the options such as AM/FM/AUX1/AUX2 and even a Short Wave band that it has but nothing indicating Sirius or XM even. Anybody have this problem that has an idea what to do? I'm thinking that it could have an external receiver or whatever that has taken a dump but have no real clue. One option is taking that beast into a stereo shop but I'd rather not. Thanks, John
