When you find one that you like make, sure everything works and go RVing. Make note of what you like or don't like. After a few camping trips you will know what you want and don't. If you can find a rental store, rent a couple for a weekend, so much the better, by now you will know what you want and don't want. Then go looking for a new one.Good Sam poor road side assistI notice that any post that speak of poor roadside assistance gets shut down, closed, right away. Just another reason that I stopped shopping at Camping World.Re: What tools to take on 2 month trip?. If you take everything that you could need, there will not be room for anything else. I carry a bottle jack and lug wrench (that fits the TT lug nuts). Utah is NOT a desolate land, you can find most any parts that you may need. One thing to remember....in the Northwest when the sun goes down, folks start looking for a coat.....even in August.Re: New Brakes.I have a 1990, 20 foot travel trailer with tandem axles. Last year I needed brakes, the factory didn't supply parts on one that old. As per some one on this forum's suggestion, I had new axles installed with heavy duty bearings with all new brakes. Thanks to whoever suggested that, I couldn't be happier. I believe that's the only way to go.Re: Extended Service Contract on new trailer?. I agree with Beverly & Ken and others, keep your money in the bank to use if needed. I have never trusted extended warranties. Most of them are a "rip-off".Re: JackKnife Sofa, Back Webbing is broken.. Would cloth webbing be a better choice? I think cloth webbing would last much longer than plastic webbing.Re: Dexter HD Suspension & EZ-Flex Install (long w/ pictures). I had my TT done last year by an RV shop, it made a noticeable difference in towing. Cost was $975 parts and labor and was well worth it. The lube holes in those bolts should be placed in the 9 o'clock or the 3 o'clock position. If they are placed at 6 or 12 o'clock the weight of the TT will force the bearing against the bolt and hinder or cover the exit hole and make greasing the bolt/bearing near impossible.Re: Just bought a new Keystone Cougar! What else do I need?. I have not seen a Water Pressure regulator recommended. Some of the RV Parks on the West Coast have high water pressure, you will wake up to an overflowing toilet and water all over the floor. Don't ask how I know.Re: Will it pull my trailer?. My neighbor and I both have TT's similar to the OP's. We have similar trucks, his is a six cylinder Chevy, Mine a GMC 5.3. His is a dog when pulling, Mine is a joy. My 5.3 V8 gets better mileage than his both loaded (pulling) or unloaded (as a daily driver). His needs to work harder whereas mine just loafs along except for the steep mountain roads where the Tow/Haul feature comes in handy.Re: Thoughts on 2018 aspen trail 2340. Stay away from shaky dealers, those with bad reputations. Ask around, there are reliable dealers around you just have to find them. The only one that I don't like is Camping World.
