at $10 / HOUR THAT IS 200 PER WEEK OR CLOSE TO $30 / DAY FOR THE CAMPING FEES. just checking.....Re: Starcraft, less than 12hrs old and already issuesi am the one that stated - how dare us accept the poor quality. the rv makers use******materails ie luan plywood that destructs once wet. why are not good materials used that will withstand issues? it is workmanship, quality, engineering, and managemnet issues. one writer talked of we have no choice. i do, i have my present trailer. i will care for it until it is used up and never buy another. i will take good care as i already have it and yes i will continue repairs but i will be darned if i ever give more morny based on my present levle of knowledge. no more money for junk. i will continue to write about this to educate noobs. of noobs were truely educated they would also stop buying. with enough missed sales manufacturers will finally see the realityRe: Starcraft, less than 12hrs old and already issueshow dare we continue to excuse the poor quality anf poor engineering involved in the majority of campers being built? rv companies do it as they can - cut corners and use inferior materials. i can rmember when cars were made teh same way. then toyoto believed that a car should come to owner without issues and it did. then when the competition could do it the us auto makers decided to follow suit. a car use to last 100,000 miles at best. changes came remember ford changed its ads to say quality is job 1........... jeeze the rv manufacturers and dealers will only change when we demand it. wake up and demand it.Re: Looking for best campground in Bransonlook at cooper creek if you wish to fish. nothing fancy just clean and you can fish plus you can fish on taneycomoRe: What 1 Thing Should Every RVer Havegraham crackers, marshmallow, and Hershey barsdometic freezer doorfreezer door was broken on used trailer new or used doors proved to be expensive $120 plus glued 1/4 inch tall acrylic spacers onto door panel under wgere pivots glue 1/4 inch tall thick spacers to space away from door so a 5/16 rod coupler sat where the pivots used to be. added threaded rods to each of the couplers screwed one rod out and slid it into the old hole in the fridge where the pivot once was. moved opposite end to where opposite hole is and screwed the rod out to enter the hole the door now pivots perfectly will add a magnetic catch. total cost for repair is a couple of dollars and expoxy that was on the shelfRe: DELAMINATION!!shoody engineering and design ........ if you had to check the roof of your home twice per yeqar? you do not as it is made of decent materials and design. american cars were once made with the thoughts that having problems is ok ....... now much of this has stopped. rv manufacturers could do the same. if only a few manufacturers made good products and consummers buy that product then and only then will the makers change, or a champion comes along as ralph nader did ........ for cars. the day is coming where people wil stop buying the****** i will never buy another trailer, it will hurt the industry but eventually newbies will see the issue and they will become educated enough to stop buying as well the campgrounds will suffer and many will pay a price but the ****ty trqailers will eventually come to a stop. poo r maintnenace how would you feel if you had to check the oil in the engine with every fill up ..... going back - heck noripples, waves, bubbling appearance on t traileri have a travel trailer 16 feet trailer 160 sunvalley made in indiana now out of business 160 extreme is the model it had a water leak the leak is fixed, the font panel has ripples, waves, or bubbling in a couple of places. the construction is the fiberglass with a paper backing. then there is roll insulation with the interior paneling. as i fixed the roof, i removed a piece of the interior paneling.... i wanted to see what was inside and this allowed air flow to allow everything to dry. i removed the wet insulation. allowed 6 weeks for a complete drying. in the area with the worst rippling, i rubbed the wet cardboard backing and some rolled up and i could see the light on the outside of the trailer. i read an earlier post that referred to the front panel as being AF Filon? the front panel has a bend in it that goes from the front panel to the roof. to cover the area of removed interior paneling, i made a cork board to cover the area. It is screwed to the surrounding paneling so it can be removed easily. i left it this way so i can check later on to ensure taht there is no water leak. should i be concerned about the the front panel cracking? i do not care about the rippled appearance ...... i am concerned about a complete failure of the front panel.... the trailer has been completely dry for 5 plus months now ...... any suggestions / warnings for the trailer?Re: Arctic Fox front roof seam constructioni have this same type of delamination. it is on the front of my trailer. there was a water leak in the areas where the warping or bubbling is. the leak is fixed. i removed the interior wall in an area to see what the issue was. the exterior fiberglass had a paper backing that was wet. i wiped off a small area of the cardboard as it tried to see what it was. so now i have a bubble / warp that is approx 8 * 8 to 10 inches ....... other than appearance, is there an issue? will this cause a failure? when i inspected from the inside, i made a cork board to cover the removed area. i can easily remove this again. should i do anything to prevent failure? i can live with the appearance with no problem.
