Renting Genesis 23ss in August. I'll take across scales make my numbers are good and see how it tows. Can't go to 7500gvw they're all too small. So if does't work out, i guess no toy hauler until 2500 pickup. Wish me luck.Re: 1/2 ton towableAlready got convinced about that trailer. Last post was more about if a 23 ft toy hauler could be reasonable. Back down a little on size to the ones advertising 1/2 ton towable. Like a 9990 gvwr trailer. Or do u think I need to back down farther.Re: 1/2 ton towableI was thinking if I could stay about 9000 for trailer and 1000-1200 tongue weight I would be good. Is that unreasonable? Obviously I was planning on weight distribution and sway control.Re: 1/2 ton towableCan't get out of this truck for at least a year to 1.5 years. Definitely plan on 2500 dmax though. Not "set" on this trailer just seemed like a good deal. "Need" room for 2 sport quads and 2 full size dirt bikes. On board gen and 4 beds. So sleeping capacity of 6. I have class 4 hitch 12000/1200. And my truck won't be loaded with all passengers. 2 vehicles. Maybe 23ft toy hauler at about 10k have and just try and keep weight down? Will have to tow with water no hookupsRe: 1/2 ton towableNever tow empty but it's not likely to be weighed loaded before sale. Gotta start with something.Re: 1/2 ton towable10600. Was hoping to keep loaded weight to more like 9000. Listed uvw is 6273 on sticker.1/2 ton towableSo looking to buy a toy hauler. Looking at 2007 redline 260fb. But the question is can I tow it. Right now TV would be a 2014 Silverado 1500 double cab 4x4. 5.3engine 3.42 gears. Front axle weight 3440 rear axle 2380. 5820 total. Was missing one passenger at about 200 pounds other than that fully loaded. 7200gvwr.
