Bob in Oregon Raining Today Grrr!Re: Serious Brake-Locking, Intermittent - HELP NEEDEDIs there any way you could hook up a car horn or some audio device to the brake wire temporary? Connected to the electro-magnet wire on the brake you know is locking? That way you could leave the truck running with the e-brake on and wheels chocked, then you could do what the old ford eecIV manusl used to have us do which I think they called a "wiggle test", moving all switches or wires you think might be the problem, when the horn honk's even for 1/4 second it was getting power and is probably where the problem is! Just a thought Bob in Heavy Equipment Tech Full TimeRe: Soaking Onan Carb in Acetone?I would highly suggest you have the carburetor ultrasonically cleaned, almost all the newer small carbs have a coating on them! Almost all shops have one for these smaller carbs, and they work great! BoBRe: Heng's Roof CoatingNot sure if this will help you, sent the wife to a big trailer supply in Portland, Oregon and sent the can with her, it was the Elixir brand and she came back with a can of the Hengs brand and the salesman told her it was the same stuff, So did Heng's buy out Elixir brand then? Still made in Indiana? BoBRe: 1997 Pace Arrow Won't StartI agree it has to have enough current to pull in the slave relay!Re: 1997 Pace Arrow Won't StartNormally on the GM starter it is right on the starter, but usually on larger chassis (Motorhomes), they add a slave solenoid so the ignition key fire's the juice, to the slave solenoid, and then to the factory GM Solenoid (On Starter), can be a constant duty solenoid, or a Ford style starter solenoid, on the firewall. With the solenoid on the starter and the extra heat on the larger chassis it would minimize the voltage drop going directly from key switch to GM solenoid. Hope this helps?Re: Skid rollers,One more thing the main thing on the rollers would be the pin size on the center of the rollers, I thought about adding them, but from being in the heavy equipment business for YEARS, I know that the min. pin size thru the roller for me would be 1/2", and maybe even 5/8" or 3/4" would be better?Re: Skid rollers,Mine has 1/2" strap type skid bars, if you use roller's make sure they are very heavy duty, because when you need them, all or most of the weight of the trailer, may be on one roller, or a combination of them both! Just my 2 cent's BobRe: Locating water pump fuse 2007 SunovaIf it has a 120 volt to 12 volt converter, there are usually fuse's loacted there too. Under the cover, sometimes has a knob on top. Hope this helps Bob
