Its a Flagstaff ultra lite 27BESS..And what if we winterize and keep the trailer on site over the winter? still no concern for the wheels?Jack supports and tires while seasonal camping. So Amy And I decided to go seasonal next year we found a campground we love and I have some ideas on what to expect and what we will need to do for seasonal camping.. I do have a couple of questions though.. Besides the normal stabilizers should I use Jack supports?? If I should how many should I use, and where should I place them on the frame? Now on to the tires I plan On using some sort of composite material under the tires, what Im wondering is should I support the camper high enough so I can turn the tires on occasion.. My concern is the bearings.. Im worried about what will happen with lack of use.. thatnk you guys for any and all input..Re: Anyone seasonal in New Jersey lawrosa wrote: Depends on what you are looking for... The place we like is http://www.timberlandlakecampground.com/ Its very close to great adventure. Its right off rt 195 for easy access to the parkway, shore points, nj turnpike..etc... seasonals are negotiable in price... You can do weekends only and leave your camper onsite... We do 8 weekends only for about $550 during march - may or sept thru november we are looking to do the seasonal thing..something we could be very close to the shore and all that I has to offer. I was looking into timberland lake, but I found so many terrible reviews of the place, I have to admit im pretty leary.. tell me a little more about the campground and your experience.. if you don't mindAnyone seasonal in New JerseySpecificly central jersey And a little north.. We are looking for a campground realitivly close to Pt Pleasant, Seaside and great aventure. also it would be nice to find a place with a nice pool and activities for the kids.. we are trying to keep it under a 2 hour commute from The Hoptacong area.. any opinions?Re: very close to pulling the trigger on a 29fbss pappcam wrote: Scrubby wrote: ok, so after heeding advice from you guys I did some checking and the 29fbss really would be pushing the limit on weight and I definatly want to be safe for my family.. so now it looks like we have to a little lighter and have to forego the outside kitchen for now.. we are now looking at the Superlite 27BESS it 1000 punds lighter and it has a nice lay out.. the bigger bunks.. the only thing I may be a little leary about is the kitchen slide.. any of you guys have any input for this trailer or kitchen slides in general? oh and yes that was a misprint my tow veichle is a 5.0 not a 5.7 Wow Pappcam I just noticed your trailer in your signature... how do you like it? We love it but it's just me, the wife and the 6 year old daughter and a 50 pound dog. The mother-in-law has stayed in there with us when she visits as well so it suits our needs quite well. The 2012 model I have has the single bunk over the double instead of the double over double that the new ones have. It's a little less claustrophobic for the person in the lower bunk. I looked at bigger models with the outdoor kitchen when we bought but I realized I'd be pushing the limits of my truck so we went with the lighter trailer to give us a more pleasant drive. I'm not saying that you couldn't pull the 29FBSS and be satisfied with the drive, it's just that I thought the lighter model was a good fit for us. I agree about the drive.. Plus with a toddler and a 6 month old I really want to be safe as i can.. so you have a nice smooth ride?Re: reefer problems ?? e-light wrote: just so you know reefer is also slang for marijuana...lol lol yea, I thought this thread was going in a total diffrent direction before I opened it..Re: Campsite Configuration/Setup???? If you are there for a couple of days, that is going to leave nothing but dead grass for all of us who arrive after you leave. Rugs and mats on grass is frowned on most places. Even if there isn't a rule against it, it sure makes for a less pleasant experience for the next people. Regular carpet will kill the grass, but not the woven polyethylene rugs sold specifically for camping. Here is what the grass at our site looked like after a week last summer - the rug actually protected the grass from the hot sun. I was just wondering what campground this was?Re: very close to pulling the trigger on a 29fbss zenbuck wrote: Make sure you send me a picture of the new TT... We are upgrading from our 2006 Kodiak Skamper Hybrid..The TT is about 10 foot bigger than the hybrid but we definatly need the room for our growing family..Im prett sure my vehicle is good to go for towing, its a 5.7 f150 I called Ford directly and they said 7,700 lbs is my max. the trailer is just at 6,000 lbs.. would love to hear some input form anyone who has this trailer or knows someone who does, or about forest river products.. Good or bad.. Thanks, Craig
